Annie and I run through the maze of corridors until I see the room I want. If my suspicions prove right…I slide the door open slightly and crawl through the gap, beckoning Annie to follow me.
I help her down, hearing Annie gasp, I turn around.  My face stays blank but as my eyes take in every inch of this room into consideration I find myself lost for words.

On the ground floor; 4 gigantic space ships of some kind. On the first floor: Weapons of some sort, and this carries on for about 5-6 floors.

“Is Fury being serious? Is he actually being serious?!” Annie says, her voice rising by a decibel.

“Come on, let’s go down, there’s plenty more stuff down there,” I say “besides we can always threaten Fury with these things.”

She chuckles and says “I thought you were a good soldier,”

“I am but I know when something’s wrong,”

“What?” She asks confused.

“Nothing,”

On my left I see crates stacked on top of each other, I walk towards one and pull open the lid of one of the crates. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion, isn’t this…No it can’t be! Fury would never do that, would he? Damn it!

“Annie, what do you think this is?”

Annie runs over and grabs the gun, inspecting it before she says;

“All of the energy in this gun is sourced from the Tesseract,”

“These are HYDRA weapons!” I exclaim.

“That's the guy my dad never shut up about?” Tony asks “wondering if they shouldn't have kept him on ice.”

“The guy's not wrong about Loki. He does have the jump on us,” I reason.

“What he's got is an ACME dynamite kit,” Tony mutters “it's gonna blow up in his face, and I'm gonna be there when it does,”

“And I'll read all about it,” I reply.

“Uh-huh. Or you'll be suiting up like the rest of us,” Tony states.

“Ah, see. I don't get a suit of armour. I'm exposed, like a nerve. It's a nightmare,” I say shaking my head.

“You know, I've got a cluster of shrapnel, trying every second to crawl its way into my heart,” Tony starts, pointing to his arc reactor “this stops it. This little circle of light. Its part of me now, not just armour. It's a... terrible privilege.”

“But you can control it,” I say.

“Because I learned how,” Tony claims.

“It's different,” I sigh and try to read the computer screen but Tony slides the data to the side with his finger so I am left facing him.

“Hey, I've read all about your accident. That much gamma exposure should have killed you,” He states.

“So you're saying that the Hulk... the other guy... saved my life?” I ask incredulously “that's nice. It's a nice sentiment. Saved it for what?”

“I guess we'll find out,” Tony mutters. He turns back to his computers and I do the same.

“You might not like that,” I say.
