~Alice's POV
The waitress came only moments later to take our order. I got the fettuccine Alfredo. Patrick ordered angel hair pasta with marinara and meatballs. The waitress was stunning but Patrick payed no attention to her. His eyes were fixed on me. Most would see it as creepy. I saw it as romantic. "Do you ever travel?" I asked sparking conversation after our waitress had walked off. "I've never left the states if that's what you're asking. But I've seen a lot here." He said in a slightly dull voice. "What about you?" "Me, well I haven't been much of anywhere. I stayed with my aunt Jeanine in Vancouver for 3 weeks. It was beautiful. Cold, but very beautiful. She taught me how to snowboard and a few tricks on skis. I'm a natural at skiing. Oh and in high school we went to Paris. It was nice. But not as breathtaking as it's put out to be. I liked most of the trip was when we spent one day in Pantin. A small town outside of Paris filled with little shoppes and cafés. It was lovely. Ah I'm rambling..." I said ending on a rough note. "Oh no please do go on. I love to hear your voice." He pressed on. I blushed. "I'd rather hear of you." I spat out. "I've never met a girl who didn't want to talk about herself." He said with a look of bewilderment. "Hi, I'm Alice and I don't like to be the center of attention all the time." We laughed and pretty soon our food came. We didn't talk much while we ate. We made small comments about the food until we cleared our plates.
~Patrick's POV
The waitress came and took our plates. I whipped my face with my cloth napkin and looked up at Alice. She had a bit of Alfredo on the brim of her cheek. "You have a little-" I gestured. "May I?" I asked kindly. She nodded. I leaned forward and cleared the Alfredo from her cheek with a steady thumb. She blushed but tried to hide it. God she's gorgeous.
~Alice's POV
We talked for a half an hour and a bus boy said they were closing soon. I didn't want to leave him. But I had to. And we'd meet again soon anyway. "Tonight was lovely," I said enlightening the mood. "Thanks for getting me out of the house." "Anytime!" He winked. I melted inside but on the outside I felt my cheeks burn red. "When will I see you again?" I asked. I hoped it was soon. "Thursday?" He asked. "Yes!" I said a bit louder than expected. "Haha, shall I walk you to your car?" He said, offering his hand and slightly bowing. I grabbed my clutch. "You shall." I placed my hand in his and we walked out. I twined my fingers with his and guided him to my car. I poked my foot out towards a burnt orange Kia Hybrid SUV. I heard him gasp and try to hide it. I smirked.
~Patrick's POV
I watched as she stuck her foot out as if pointing towards something. I let my eyes trace down her legs and looked up to see an amber SUV 'Wow' I said to myself. I gasped with out even realizing but tried to play it off. She released my grasp and fetched her keys from her purse. "I loved tonight. You look lovely. I can't wait for Thursday" I said with much anticipation. "Me either." She said. Her beautiful eyes shimmered in the moon light. "Well it's getting late and I have to do something in the morning. And I wouldn't wanna keep you." I groaned. I didn't wanna leave her but I didn't wanna keep her. THIS ROMANCE STUFF IS CONFUSING. "I had a great night." I heard her unlock the car. "Thanks Patrick." She leaned in and pressed her lips against my cheek. I blushed. I didn't try to hide it. She smiled said thanks again and got in her car. I heard the engine rev and watched as she sped off. I think I saw her wave but I wasn't sure. I touched my cheek. And held my hand there. I jumped up and kicked the air. I probably looked like a retard. I trotted to my car and went home. I didn't stop thinking about her. Not for a second.
