❀❀Two Days After Everest Announced She Was Leaving❀❀

"Bye... Grey.." She managed to get out, standing at his front door. He hadn't yet finished repairing the thatch roof, and small drops of rain fell from the sky, landing on her recently brushed strawberry blonde hair.

"Hey... Don't be sad. I'll visit whenever I can! We can see each other on breaks! It'll be okay" He gave a fake smile, trying to re-assure her. The last thing he ever wanted was for her to be depressed. (Little note, being depressed and having depression are two different things. NO, she doesn't have depression. She is in a state of deep of sorrow. Goodbye.)

A small smile began to grow on her face.

"Really?"

The clouds began to disappear

"Yes! I'll visit you whenever I get the chance!"

She jumped on him, embracing him with a big hug.

"Thanks, Grey! I'm gonna miss you so much!"

"I'll miss you, too."

As the blue mini-van pulled out of the driveway, Everest gave a beaming smile and waved goodbye, the sky now almost completely clear.

But as she drove away.. The clouds returned, and a crack of thunder made Greyson's ears ring.

Everest bawled as the car drove away, for she was saying goodbye to her only friend.
