Chapter 22 (guess who loves whom! )

Conrad looked really ill, and barely could stand on his feet, also he looked disappointed at me “how are you Alexis” he said supporting himself on the tree near him.

I ran to him and hugged him “why did you come to school you still look tired” I said as I felt him shift his weight on me.

“I am getting better” he replayed.

“you should be at the castle” Clyde interrupted.

“after knowing what happened I can’t leave her like this” he said hugging me tightly.

“ in your condition you can’t do a thing” Clyde said.

“and you think you can, you are not the alpha yet” Conrad said angry.

“why are you speaking to me like this” Clyde said upset “I am concerned about your health” .

“well don’t” Conrad said angry.

“Conrad why are you acting like this” I whispered to him, I knew he was jealous but I didn’t want him to create a distance between him and Clyde.

“whatever I am heading back to class” Clyde said walking away, he clearly looked hurt.

I turned to Conrad “why did you say that to him” I said softly, he looked pale and sweat covered his forehead “you need to get back and rest” I said almost dropping at his weight, I looked at Sebastian for help.

He rolled his eyes and stepped forward, “I can get back on my own my car is just at the corner of the school” Conrad said pulling himself away from my embrace, and he gazed through my eyes “just wanted to make sure you are fine and I am relieved to know that you are” he smiled and I couldn’t help but to smile back.

“here let me take you” Sebastian offered to help but Conrad turned him away and started to walk unsteadily towards where he came from.

I turned to Sebastian “can you please follow him to check if he is fine” I said begging.

He sighed “ok” he simply said and was about to turn.

 I grabbed his hand “thank you, I really appreciate it” I said smiling.

he looked at me for a second then held my hand and pushed it gently “don’t cause another misunderstanding” he said then vanished in a second.

‘ouch, that hurt’ I thought as I turned on my heel back to the class, I missed the class so I figured there is no point into going back and being yelled on by the teacher.

I headed to the infirmary, at least I can have un excuse of why I missed the class and rest while Alison is busy in the class.

Talked to the nurse and she let me take nap but attend the next lesson, once my head touched the bed I drifted to sleep, it was like 10 minute only and the nurse came saying the next class will start, ‘great I feel more exhausted’ I thought as I dragged my body to the class.

I sat there like a zombie barely able to keep my eyes open, and Lorena nudged me shaking some of the sleep away “what’s wrong ?you look like you had a spin of love in a closet” she said crossing her eyebrow.

“I wish that was the case” I said “I just haven’t had any sleep since yesterday” I finished.

“how come? and you just came from a two day sick vacation” she said suspiciously.

“once we have lunch break I will tell you, now I need to rest” I said dropping my head on the table, thinking of Conrad and Clyde ‘ I am really in a big mess right now, I don’t want to tear them apart, I love Conrad and I am sure of it but what is this thing with Clyde is it because he is supposed to be my mate’ those thought kept spinning in my head while I struggled to stay awake.
