when my pain becomes to much to bear
and words alone aren't enough to share
everything I hold within
that's hidden just beneath my skin
and my heart beaks where it resides
from all the pain it holds inside
it's towards the sun that my face sways
to bathe in the light and relish the rays
I take a moment to breathe it in
and thank god I can still feel the sun on my skin
then I close my eyes and think
ways of why I should fight another day
the twinkling stars the moonlight rays
songs of birds on warm summer days
big puffy clouds and warm summer skies
a smile so bright and brilliant eyes
a hope for love both old and new
a family that loves me and friends so true
this is something daily that I must do
with my face to the sun under a sky so blue
