Study Session

Today I definitely have to say was strange. For once everything was going my way. Claire wasn't on the bus this morning, Mrs. Patters was happy I accepted Luke as my tutor, Luke and I sat together at lunch and laughed at the dumbest jokes we told each other, and he gave me a ride home from school. We were going to the same place anyway so he could tutor me. After Luke and I arrived at my house I got us some sodas and we started studying for two hours. "Who warned that the British were coming?" Luke asked.
"Little Giddion?" I asked and he just sat there trying not to laugh. "What?" I asked. Then it hit me. "I just named a Gravity Falls character didn't I?" "Yeah. Nice try though" he says laughing. "Well then was it Galileo?" I ask, hoping maybe it was right and I would sound like less of an idiot. I am making a fool out of myself in front of a guy I think I am starting to fall in love with. "Oh hey you got it right!" he says teasingly with a smirk. "Yeah yeah. I know I'm an idiot. Can we move on now?" I say giggling. "You are not an idiot, but alright next question." "Luke can we take a break now? We have been at this for two hours and I feel like my brain is melting." I say with my best puppy dog face. He just laughs and says "Sure. 15 minute break then we get back to studying." "Ugh. Luke I hate studying. I really don't want to do this anymore. Can't we just hang out?" I beg. He walks over and sits next to me on the couch. "I don't think anyone likes to study Cara. You want to get out of Mrs. Patters class right? Or are you wanting to take it again?" "No!" I say in a panicked voice. After a slight pause I say "Can we just stop for today and just hang out? I don't think I can study anymore today." "Sure Car. What do you want to do?" "We could watch a movie." "Sure. What movies do you have?" We walk over to the movie shelf and decide to watch Frozen. So we sat there like kids watching Frozen and at times we would throw some popcorn that we had made at the TV when we didn't like what was happening. After the movie ended I noticed that Luke had somehow managed to put is arm around my waist and fall asleep. I went to get up to put the popcorn bowl in the sink, but his grip on me tightened everytime I tried to leave. I tried once more and saw him smile. "I know you are awake Luke. Now let me go unless you wanna help clean up" I say jokingly. "That's fine with me. Just sit here with me for five more minutes?" he said poking his lip out. Well five minutes turned into an hour that we were just sitting there talking. He had his arm around me the whole time, but I'm not complaining. "It's getting kind of late. I should head home." "Yeah I guess so. See you tomorrow I guess." I'm kind of sad this had to end. I was really enjoying him being over here. "Hey don't be sad. We can do this again tomorrow if you want. I would honestly love to hang out with you again." he says trying to cheer me up. "Sure! I'd love that." With that we said goodbye,  he left, and I went to go get ready for bed.
