I sat adrubtly up in my bed and searched frantically for the Cheshire Cat... He was no where to be found. I let my eyes adjust and found myself in my room, in the real world. I burst into tears at the sight of it. I had lost my love. I had lost my Cheshire Cat only to return to the man I had thought I loved before the handsome cat... A lord that resembled something of a king. He was kind and gentle but none the less still cruel to others.
I couldn't stop crying. I tried, I really did, but I couldn't stop... Until I heard Cheshire's voice.
"Alice... Alice, please stop crying... I hate to see you so sad, Alice." I heard him say. "Please, love, stop crying. I told you I could never leave you... I'll always be with you, Alice. Now, please, stop crying."
As soon as I heard Cheshire's sweet voice I calmed down. I searched for where the voice was coming from, but soon discovered that it was all just inside my head... A sweet, wanted dream that I never wanted to leave... I couldn't believe it was a dream though. I called to him hesitantly and quietly.
"I'm not there physically with you Alice. Like I told you, I'm just a dream..." He said gently.
"No... You're real... You have to be!" I sobbed.
"Alice, calm down. I'm sorry, my dear. I really am but it's true... I'm your dream and that's why you fell in love with me, Alice..." His voice was just above a whisper, I could barely hear him.
"No... No! I fell in love with you because I love you for you!" I cried.
"Because you thought of me! You made me who I am, Alice! Just wake up and see that already!" He yelled. I flinched at his tone.
I heard him sigh quietly and then nothing. No goodbye, no apollogy, he just left... I bit my lip to keep myself from screaming out to him but I knew it wouldn't work... I got up and ran out of my room and down the hall to my father's office.
"Where is he?! Where is my cat?!" I screamed as tears rolled down my cheeks. Cheshire had to be here he just had to!
"You mean Dinah? Oh she's out in the garden, dear." My father answered.
"No! My Cheshire cat! Where is he?!" I screamed.
"Alice... ALICE! I don't know what the bloody hell you're talking about! There is NO CHESHIRE CAT!" My father yelled back and held my shoulders.
"YES THERE IS! HE HAS TO BE HERE PAPA! I LOVE HIM!" I cried into his chest.
"Alice... Calm down... It was just a dream... An insane, crazy dream." He said quietly... It reminded me almost of the Cheshire Cat...
I pushed my father away and ran out of his office. I quickly ran outside to search for Cheshire.
"CHESHIRE!" I screamed. I dropped to my knees and hugged myself. "Please... Don't leave me..." I sobbed as tear drops hit the ground beneath me.
It wasn't until I saw a pair of loafers step infront of me that I stopped my crying and followed the long white trousers up to the face that had once belong to my Cheshire Cat in Wonderland. The man knelt down in front of me and held me tight in his strong arms.
"My dear Alice..." Was all he said as he held me close to him.
I was so shocked, yet extatic to she Cheshire, MY Cheshire, in the real world. I soon came to my senses and hugged him tightly.
"Cheshire... My lovely Cheshire..." I whispered and held him tighter.
Cheshire stroked my hair and kissed my forehead. He rocked me gently and held me like I was his baby that had just been saved from being kidnapped. He nuzzled my hair and rested his cheek upon the top of my head. I felt hot wet droplets hit my head and thought to myself... Is he crying...?
"Oh Alice, my dear sweet Alice... You must run... Run away from this place... You're not safe! You have to leave!" He started speaking and picked me up onto my feet. He started to pull me away from my house. "Please Alice! Run away with me! I must keep you safe! She's coming for us! She coming for us all! She wants you dead and will stop at nothing until you are!"
I was so confused. What was my dear Cheshire talking about?! I stopped in my tracks and broke free from his grasp. He just looked at me like I was crazy.
"Alice! What are you doing?!" He asked, flustered.
"What are you talking about, Cheshire?! Who's coming?! Who wants me dead?!" I yelled. Cheshire walked up to me and brought his face close to mine.
"The Queen of Hearts." He whispered. "It's time to leave Alice... Now!" Cheshire bent down a bit and picked me up bridal style. I was flabergasted! What in bloody hell was he doing?!
"WHAT IN BLOODY HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" I screamed.
"Keeping you safe now get in!" He replied and placed me in a Coach Carrige. He climbed in after me and sat down next to me.
We were sitting across from a girl with brown hair and rabbit ears, the March Hair, and a man with a red hat and jet black hair, the Mad Hatter.
"Ello Alice!" They said in unison.
"Hello Hatter. Hello Hare." I nodded back. Soon a tall man with white hair looked in through the window.
"Hello lady Alice." He smiled.
"White Rabbit!" I beamed and hugged him through the window. He laughed and hugged me back.
Out if the corner of my eye I saw Cheshire's ear twitch and his hands grip his pant leg tightly. He didn't like the fact that I had just hugged the white rabbit. I pulled back from the rabbit and sat back down next to Cheshire. He didn't look at me but just stared straight ahead as the coach started to move. I pouted slightly and rested my head on his shoulder. He had no reaction to my action though. I pouted more and went to hold his hand but he moved it away. I lifted my head off his shoulder and looked away from him. This was going to be a LONG ride...
