"Jesus fucking christ-" I gaped running a hand through my now frazzled hair, it's now been 5 minutes since Asher left. "What the hell was that!" I could barley breath right, I was still tingling from his touch.

"Are- you alright?" Makkenna asks walking to stand beside me, I nod slowly not trying to look like I was having a mental breakdown.

"Yeah, thanks."

She leans against the wall, and pulls out a pack of Marlboro Menthol Black 100's. "Do you care if I?" referring to the cigarettes she just pulled out of her bra. I shake my head and she flicks her white lighter lighting the minty cigarette.

Smoking didn't bother me I didn't particularly enjoy it, but my dad smoked; my mother did and most of the rest of my family. I enjoyed the smell to tell you the truth, yet I never found it attractive; well that was until today.

"You don't talk much." she observes, I shake my head again.

"No, not really." I sigh eyeing her cigarette, I'd hit one once; it was a full flavor and I almost died of a coughing fit. The minty smell was alluring with the cloud of smoke it looked beautiful, the smell made me think of Asher and I close my eyes trying to rid the thought.

"You wanna hit?" Makkenna questions looking a bit apprehensive holding it out for me to grab, I don't hesitate before reaching for it and plucking it out of her fingers with my index and middle finger, pressing it to my lips with a deep inhale. It was smooth gliding down my lungs and a content calming feeling relaxed my entire body with the exhale.

"So what's really going on with that guy?" she laughs a kind smile on her face, any worry she'd had about asking if I wanted to smoke with her disappeared from her face.

"Long- story." I sigh shaking my head inhaling the smoke to calm my nerves once again. "How could you tell?"

"Girl, as soon as he touched you; you were as red as a tomato, people who are dating don't normally act so nervous around the other." she laughed,

"I've only just met him," I sighed slowly puffing the cigarette, "literally just to-fucking-day." I chuckled.

"That's interesting considering your messy hair, swollen lips and the way your clothes have ridden up; especially your shorts." my eyes widened looking down my scars were now very visible I gasped pulling them down to cover them back up and looking away embarrassed. Makkenna's eyes showed sympathy, and an empathetic smile crossed her lips.
"We've all got a past. Just, maybe not everybody is exactly proud of theirs." I took a couple more hits of her cigarette before giving it back and rushing inside without another word.

Last nights dinner with dad and Kelsi's family went surprisingly well, considering what had happened right before. We'd even watched a movie afterward, after they left and I'd went up to my room I'd lied awake all night tossing and turning thinking about that damned kiss. I felt dirty, for acting the way I had. I just gave in, without a fight; it was as if my brain decided to shut itself down like, "Oh! Sexy guy? Let me just stop any type of rational thinking, and let this sex god looking of a man take complete control and do whatever the fuck he wants to me!" I growled putting a pillow over my face, in frustration.

I'd finally fallen asleep at 3 am, having to wake up 3 and a half hours later. Dad came in to wake me up like every morning continuing my morning routine with a shower then doing my hair and makeup.

I did a light version of a smoky eye, my eyebrows and foundation. I hated having to put in makeup everyday and hated the feeling of it on my face even more. Curling the ends of my hair and pulled it into a ponytail.

My outfit was basic, a baggy white t-shirt with black ripped jeans and my leather jacket pulling on my combat boots I trudge down the stairs

"Good morning sweetheart." My dad smiled at me, "here's your medicine, I picked up your refill yesterday when I went to the store." Handing me a small tiny pill he slid me a glass of water and a piece of toast as well. I took a few bites of the toast, popped the anti-depressant/ Anti-anxiety with a swallow of water and sighed.

"Ready?" I asked I couldn't wait to get back home and go to sleep. He nodded,

"You seem exhausted did you sleep okay ?"

"Honestly, no. I tossed and turned all night I didn't fall asleep till like 3." I closed my eyes I let my head drop onto the counter top. Dad sighed thinking to himself for a moment,

"You can stay home today, but I'm going to have a couple people check on you thought the day." He kissed my forehead giving me a hug. "Now go wash that damn makeup off your face, get on some comfortable clothes and try to take a nap."

"Alright thank you," I yawed, "you're the best." As I trudged back up the stairs.

After putting on some of my loose comfy pajama shorts and a sweater I cleaned off my face and let my hair down, I curled up on the couch with a big blanket and turned on Netflix letting the show The Vampire Diaries play as background noise as I drifted right back to sleep.

A knock at the door startled me from my sleep figuring it was someone my dad sent to check on me I slowly got up wiping the sleep from my eyes and dragging my hands down my face I sigh. There were a few harder knocks,

"I'm coming, I'm coming, jeeze."
I yelled finally reaching the door I swung it open to see Asher standing there leaning against my door way a cigarette hanging from his mouth and a small smirk playing on his lips. Mischief danced in his eyes as he scanned my body up and down. I gasped frozen in my spot, the ways my body reacts to him pissed me off beyond belief.

"Hello love."
