**shanes POV**
Emery was the most beautiful girl I have ever met. She seemed so... Herself. Like she didn't care what other people though. And she didn't bully me! I'm guessing she has a boyfriend though... Most likely that Michael guy. But I wouldn't have a chance even if he wasn't there. I really liked her though. I decided to go to my favorite stop since moving here. Behind my house... There is a forest. In that forest is a lake. I went and sat in the dirt for a while and decided I needed to talk to Emery more. I hope she feels the same way about me... I really like her. While I was there, I also thought about my dad. He is the reason me moved. He would go out and come home drunk... He would abuse me and my mother. I was pretty scared of him. After a while I fell asleep... After about 3 hours, I felt skinny arms wrap around me. I rolled over and saw Emery. She was smiling. "Morning sleepy head" she said sweetly. I smiled, stood up, and then helped her up. Then we went and sat on the dock. She told me more about herself and we watched the sun set. I wanted to kiss her right there... But I couldn't. Her phone rang "hey! Yeah sure! I'll be there in like 10!"
"That was Michael... He needs to see me" I nodded and paused. "One last thing." I said. "Ye-" I grabbed her and pushed my lips against hers. She stood shocked... Then kissed back. It was amazing. She broke away and looked at me. Then she walked away after saying goodbye.
