"First, you shall receive my blessing," Hecate began.

"Your blessing...?" Nico could not finish his question when Hecate abruptly close the distance between them and placed a soft kiss on Nico's forehead, freezing the prince in pure shock. Nico could only widen his eyes in wonder and astonishment as power coursed through his veins and knowledge of the wizarding world, magic and spells poured into his mind. He remained frozen stiff even after Hecate had withdrawn herself from him. Her eyes shone with amusement.

"Was that your first kiss?" Hecate teased. That pulled Nico from his shock and morphed into a scowl, but the blush on his cheeks was not fooling anyone. Nico coughed to diffuse the embarrassment on his expense and gave Hecate a pointed look. Hecate grinned at him before schooling her features to a neutral expression and continued,

"Fun facts!" Hecate exclaimed playfully. Her demeanour seemed to change drastically from her sullen attitude as soon as hope filled her chest. Nico assumed this must be her real personality.

"Since you're a demigod like my children from the Hecate Cabin, you will not require a wand to perform magic, but I shall give you one anyway for cover purposes," Hecate snapped her fingers and a pure black wand appeared and float towards Nico. He carefully grabbed it from thin air and meticulously inspected it.

"White poplar and Thestral hair, 13 inches exactly, yielding. It is very powerful compared to any other wands out there and will only work for you," Hecate informed. Nico nodded as he marvelled the intricate and beautiful carvings of hellhounds, skeleton warriors, furies and Thanatos along the length of the stick...ahem...wand. Nico corrected himself.

"Wandless magic is hard to master for mortals but not unheard of. The African wizards are prime example of this. The biggest difference is that mortals magic can harm one another, while demigods are completely immune to them. This is because their power is only a fraction in comparison to the magic possessed by demigod children," Hecate continued.

"But Ellen Lou could affect us demigods with her magic just fine," Nico stated.

"Yes, from demigod to demigod. Just like how Percy's or Thalia's power could affect you and yours affect them. Mortal magic on the other hand is not powerful enough to damage a demigod, hence the immunity," Hecate clarified.

"Not even the Unforgivables?" Nico was sceptical. From the knowledge he received, those curses looked devastating. Well...maybe only for mortals. Nico had experienced Tartarus so thinking back on it the unforgivable curses seemed child's play.

"Even those," Hecate confirmed.

"You don't expect me to freely give unimaginable power to mortals that could potentially harm us, now do you?" Hecate raised her eyebrows at him. Nico simply shrugged. She has a point.

"There might be an uprising against us, then that would only result to another war. Look what happened to the wizarding world when Grindelwald and Voldermort rise because of their belief and greed for power? My world is already on the verge of breaking into another war because of Voldemort. Imagine if they found out about us and turn against us? There will simply be more bloodshed. I cannot allow that to happen, hence there are limitation and restrictions in their use of magic. I never made them any more powerful than a child of the Big Three," Hecate explained. Nico raised his eyebrows at this piece of information.

"You mean to say that I alone could annihilate their whole race?" Nico asked incredulously.

"You can raise a dead army at will, can't you? It should be a piece of cake," Hecate answered nonchalantly. Nico began to wonder if Hecate truly cared at all about her little world.
