Just for a while

You were pure

alike a pearl;

virgin white.

Your glowing smile;

brighter than the

sunlight.

I could swear upon

my life,

it used to light up my

dark nights.

Your soul was unconstrained

alike a river;

an epitome of freedom,

to be precise.

Your persona;

a rejuvenating autumnal breeze,

soothing to the very core as it

passed by.

Your laughter was sweet to the

ears to hear, alike honey;

so rich, such a delight.

Your voice was sonorous,

deep alike the ocean;

standing steady with

thoughtful conscience.

Your brown eyes were warm,

rich and modest alike chocolate;

glistening so beguilingly

like the dark brown sweet

does on melting.

Your touch was fiery,

alike gasoline;

igniting flames on my

skin as it skimmed me.

Your embrace brought warmth to

my glacial heart;

alike the Sun bestrewed

heat on the wintery days.

My life, with you by my side,

was a mystical ride;

even barren winters seemed to

be a paradise.

And now you are gone,

leaving me alone,

however, I hope where ever you

are,

that mischievous twinkle

in your eyes

stays and intensifies

when you look at me

from your residence sky high.

I wish you mark

the formidable strength you

gave me

by being mine,

even it was just for a while.
