Chapter 6: I'm Sorry

Hana's POV
"Can I go join the club?" my unexpected words shocked Nakamura-san and Akihito.

"Sure, you just need to fill out a Club Form, you can get those at the Information Area," Akihito said.

I said thanks and then went to the Information Area with Nakamura-san

"You like him right?" I said.

"N-no way," she said.

"It's obvious"

"It's not"

"So you do like him"

"No"

"Just accept it"

"I don't like him"

"You do"

"I don--"

"We're here," I told Nakamura-san when I see a small sign saying "Information Area".

I thanked Nakamura-san by bowing at her and then waving while walking to the Information Area. I took a Club Form and then filled it out.

Section: 2 - A

Club: Manga Club

Influencer/s: Nakamura Ayumi, Tanaka Akihito

Reason of Joining: Interested in club activities.

Date of Filling: June 18, 20XX

Date of Entrance: June 19, 20XX

I handed the form after filling it to the person behind the glass. I then went back to the classroom. The bell rang and we had a test in Japanese History about the Edo Period.

Ayumi's POV
It was lunch and then I decided to eat in the club room without telling anyone. I went to the hallways but then Tanaka-kun stopped me,

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"I'm gonna go eat in the club room," I responded.

"I wanna go with you~!" he said.

"No thanks."

"Pleaseeeee~!"

"Fine," I sighed.

We both headed to the Club Room and seated far from each other. I opened my bento box and then ate using chopsticks made out of animal bone which was given to me as a present last year. He ate bread and a meat bun. We ate silently in the club room and then I broke the silence,

"Do you still like Kobayashi-san?" I asked.

"Where did the question come from?" He chuckled.

I didn't laugh though, I was serious about my question so I remained a straight face.

"No... I like you," he confessed.

I was so red, redder than a rose. I felt happy yet so sad that Hana was gonna be my rival. I wanted Hana to be my friend, but then I can't.

"Sorry, I can't accept your confession..." I said.

"W-why?" he asked.

"I think Hana deserves you more,"

"But then you're the one I lik--"

"Yes! I do like you, but then I never did anything to deserve this. Unlike me, I can tell that Hana's trying her best to get you," I interrupted.

"I'm leaving..." I said.

I was about to leave the club room when,

Akihito's POV
"I'm leaving..."

As I heard those words, I knew had to do something. I grabbed her hand and, kissed her.

The air in the room was different, it felt peaceful yet distracting. Her lips were so soft, like cotton. I felt happy even though it was wrong. I stepped back after a while, noticing Hana on the door with tears.

"Why?" she asks.

"WHY CANT I BE YOUR BEST OPTION?! DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG TO DESERVE THIS?" she yells.

"...It's not like tha-" I was cut off by Nakamura-San.

"He likes me and I like him back so he's mine, stay off," she says in a mean tone.

"Haha. I'm sorry for interrupting... I'll go now," Hana says while leaving.

I tried to run to her but then Nakamura-San didn't let me,

"You're mine right?" she says expressionless.

"N-Nakamura-San! Are you alright?" I worry.

"I'm fine," she smiles creepily

"I can call you Akihito right? You're mine after all," she laughs.

She pushes me to the wall hardly making my back hurt. She then unexpectedly grabs a knife and points it in my neck.

"You know I'm protective of my possessions right? I'll protect you from Hana. She's just disturbing us right?" she says.

I couldn't say anything. I was too scared of her although she was my girlfriend.

"Sorry... I got crazy there for a second," she sighs.

"Don't tell anyone about this okay~?" she smiles.

She then drops the knife and leaves.
