You took a sip of your flaming hot beverage and sat down on the soft silk couch gazing over your family who has been excitingly decorating the house with a Christmas theme for the past hour.
"You know, God gave you hands for a reason, maybe you should help?" Your younger sibling said and you just rolled your eyes
You grabbed the heavy box he was holding and placed it on the table. You opened the box filled with red and green crafts and held one up, wondering what it is and where to put them.
You weren't quite a fan of Chrismas, you didn't hate it or locked yourself up not to celebrate it but it was always the same routine.

And A lot of pictures, and I mean a lotYou sighed while hanging some glittery paper shaped of a Christmas tree next to the doors. Most of your classmates were to busy going on Christmas trips with their family while you've always been stuck here at home.
You took a peak through the glass window. Despite the white snow, the scene was still visible.
"New neighbours?" You asked your mum while checking your buzzing phone which were messages from your classmates sending pictures of their beautiful vacation. You decided to ignore the distraction and look up again to see that the new neighbours had already got away from the freezing outdoors and into the warmth of their new place.
"Hey sweety, go give these biscuits to the new neighbours" your mum said while she handed you a batch of sweet sugary treats.
You raised your brows at her
"I want to make a good first impression" your mum explained while hitting you lightly on your shoulder
"And why can't he go?" I asked pointing at my brother. Part of it was because I'm lazy the other part of it was just some sibling rivalry. The usual.
You could sense your mum groaning in annoyance and rolling her eyes
"He will catch a cold, now go before the biscuits turn cold" you mum said and your sibling stuck his tongue out"Glad to know how much you care about your daughter" you said sarcastically and they both cracked a smile, eventually so did you.
You slowly walked across the street, careful not to fall, mainly because of the biscuits and not yourself. You reached the front door and rang the bell .
You waited for a few seconds, humming to some Christmas carols and then the door opened
Your chest started tightening and your heart was pounding more than it should.
In front of you was a boy, a very good looking one might I add. He was around your age and had captivating eyes which you couldn't stop staring at and his smile made you feel a certain way.
You came to the realisation that you've been staring at him longer than you should have
"Oh umm..Haha hi I'm your new neighbour who lives just across the streets umm my mum asked me to give you these biscuits-they're cinnamon ones. Hope you like them" you stopped yourself from embarrising yourself more.
"Oh thank you very much, we'll surely enjoy them" he said with an attractive smile
You felt that your face was going to turn into a tomato so you quickly said goodbye but as you were halfway through the streets you hear him shout
"My name is [Bias] by the way" you turned to see him grinning
"Y/N" you slightly shouted hoping he can hear you
"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl "he said with a smirk "See you around Y/N" he added shutting his door
You quickly rushed to the door and slammed it. You also put your hand on your heart to check if you were still alive.
Needless to say, your Christmas as just gotten better.
