"But mum I don't need a tutor!"

"Honey this is for your own good" she said folding her clothes and placing them in the luggage

"I don't get it, I improved from last year!" you groaned

"You got a 36!" She said in disbelief

"Yeah well I got a 25 last time, that's an 11 marks difference , you can't even count them on both hands! "  you said helping her fold

"Its a good thing you at least know how  to count sweetie" she said while trying to close her loaded luggage

"Mum!" You whined

"My decision is final Y/N. Now I'll be leaving for work for 5 days so try your best not to die ok love?" She said concluding the talk

You sighed knowing you can't do anything about it

-3 days later-

You heard the door ring and got up from your sunken position on the sofa.

You opened the door to see a young looking boy.

"Yes?" You asked

"Hello I'm the tutor for Y/N" he said

You almost choked on your own spit

"Tutor? That was today?"

"Uh Yes, are you Y/N?" He asked

You nodded " umm come in" 

Blood starts rushing to your face as you glance at the house. Since your mum was away, you took it up to yourself to stay quite lazy and not do much except order fast food and binge watch all of your favorite dramas.

In short, the house was a complete mess and you just invited a tutor who you completely forgot was coming inside the house. Great. 

"Uh why don't we do the lesson in the dining room?" you suggested pointing at the dining room while pushing some of the trash you left under the sofa. "I'll quickly go grab my books" 

The tutor nodded and after a while you came back down after arranging yourself a bit with the books that you didn't even know you had in your room in your hands.

"Sorry for the wait, i forgot that tutoring starts today" you apologized while grabbing two glasses of water.

"Oh it's fine, I guess Ms.Y/L/N is not here?" 

"Yeah, she's on a business trip at the moment" 

"Oh my name is Minghao btw, i'll be your math tutor" he said putting out his hand 

"Y/N, nice to meet you. 

"Shall we get started then?"

You cautiously nodded, not ready for all that is about to happen.

"Ugh I still don't get it i'm so sorry!" you whined even after the third time of Minghao explaining the question 

"No it's ok, why don't we just take a small break?" He suggested with a heartfelt smile

You nodded as a thanks and went to bring some snacks

"Sorry I suck at maths" you apologized quietly

"Ya it's ok, once you understand the concept it will be easy I promise"

You stared at him. He was really nice and patient with you and you felt so guilty that you had to make him repeat every time

"Hey look at these biscuits" he said as he pointed out in the number of biscuits he laid on the table

"The top one is the numerator and the bottom one is the denominator. Now we have to subtract these two together but we can't just cancel because the denominators are different" you nod understanding what he is explaining

"So if I want to subtract these two I need to...."

"Find a common multiple?"

"Majayo!"

He continued explaining the equation and I actually got the right answer

"Yes you got it correct!" He jumped happily high fiving me

"Now this might shock you a bit but that was just the beginning of the equation we have umm.. 5 more steps to go!" He said putting on a smile and a thumbs up

You sighed.
"Why is it so complicated!" You whined resting your head on the table

He suddenly placed his hand on your head
"Hey don't worry. I'll explain it to you step by step. Besides you're a smart girl you'll familiarise yourself with it it no time" he gave that reassuring smile once again

You suddenly started to blush and just nodded slightly since words couldn't come out from your mouth .

Maybe getting a tutor wasn't such a bad idea...

"Look mum I got a B on my maths test!"
You yelled joyfully

"Omg sweetie I'm so proud of you!" She said hugging you tightly

"You see getting a tutor wasn't a bad idea " she stated

You nodded happily

"I can't wait to show him this he's going to be so proud!" You said excitedly

At that moment you hear the doorbell ring and you quickly rushed and opened the door to find yourself facing your handsome maths tutor and his cute smile.
