Monday came and I decided I'd play sick and stay off school. I wasn't off a lot anyway so teachers couldn't complain. My mum rung up and said I'd had hardly any sleep and had a migraine, she winked at me and tried not to laugh while saying it, but she didn't know that half of the story was true. I'd been up all night. After she had called in, I went upstairs and got changed into my favourite top, it was just plain black and had Bowling for Soup's logo on the front, my favourite band. On the back it had all the tour dates from 2013, me and Kasey had went to see them together, one of the best nights of my life. With that I just pulled on some leggings, and rolled up the bottoms to just above the ankle. I would usually do my make up and hair perfectly, but since I was just staying off I tied it up into a messy bun and kept my face natural. When I came down the stairs my mum smiled, " I like to see you like this Lill, all natural like how you used to be, I'm proud I created such a nice creature" we laughed and then I shoved my air max on and we left.
Although me and my mum argue, the days I actually get one to one time with her are lovely. We spent all day shopping, mainly for hair dyes and band tees, but that was the usual for me, and for her we bought some jeans and a few films. The rest of the day we spent in a little pub on the corner of the high street, we ate lunch and then headed home.
I got back to find Kasey sitting at my front door, ready to tell me all of the gossip of the day. I explained to her why I stayed off school and she understood completely, she took a look at my hair dye and said she was jealous that I could dye my hair whichever colour I liked.
She told me about how one of her teachers had been out at the weekend and had went up to the hottest guy in the bar and gave him a lecture, we both laughed for a good 5 minutes then we got serious again. Kasey knew me inside and out, she knew every gesture I make and the way I hold myself when I'm in certain moods.
"You've been arguing with him again haven't you?" I knew she was right, and I couldn't hide it from her. "Yeah," I began to reply, "he started telling me I shouldn't be dyeing my hair as he's always preferred it my natural colour, but I think I went too far with telling him where to go" I began to laugh. She shook her head, "no, he's in the wrong, you should be able to do whatever you like with your hair" I knew she was the right one in all of this but I just couldn't stick up for myself the way she could.
We both smiled at each other and started a new subject, The Mortal Instruments, it was our favourite film. I knew that Jace Wayland was Kasey's 'boyfriend', so I would just have to settle for another character to fantasise about. We spoke about how long it was going to take to bring out the second film, which brought us to speaking about other films such as The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Lilo and Stitch and Monsters Inc, the last two movies are children's films and we knew this, but they came out when we were children so really it was perfectly fine to still be in love with them, we both recited our favourite scene from Monsters Inc which was where Roz and Mike Wazowski are debating about paperwork.
Roz: Wazowski, you didn't file your paperwork last night
Mike: Oh that darn paperwork, wouldn't it be easier if it all just blew away?
Roz: Don't let it happen again
Mike: I'll try to be less, erm, careless
Roz: I'm watching you Wazowski, always watching.
We both fell about laughing at ourselves, we had agreed that Roz resembled a teacher at our school, and that we should have said the same thing as Mike did when questioned about our homework.

Kasey had to leave quite early as her mum was at work, I walked her to the bus stop and waited for her bus to come before taking the slowest walk back. When I got in the house my mum had made dinner again, but I explained I wasn't hungry and carried on going upstairs.
I cried for hours. Cried about how Callum didn't like the way I looked. Cried about how hurt Kasey would be if she found out. I just cried until my throat was dry and I had no tears left. But I didn't cut, for that one night, I just didn't cut.
