Jace- your a warlock/witch that's best friends with Magnus bane, and when Magnus was out of town he suggested if the shadowhunters need help from a warlock to go to you.

Izzy-your Magnus little sister and you meet though Alec and Magnus being together

Magnus-your Maia sister and friends with the shadowhunter and you got hurt on a mission then Magnus helped heal you

Simon- your the Alec lightwood twin and simon meets you though clary
