Up the stairs came a police officer. Flynnigan seemed overjoyed by this fact.
"Detective Inspector Lestrade. How are you?"

The Inspector didn't sound quite as amused.
"Not the time Flynnigan."

His face went into a serious expression, but his eyes were still lit with a strange..... desire. That's the only way I can put it. Desire.
"Of course. Dr. Watson, this is Detective Inspector Lestrade. They're the one comes to me when I'm needed."

I waved, not even noticing the wording of the sentence. The Inspector returned the wave and turned back to Flynnigan.
"There's been another one."

"I figured as much."

"But this one is different. You know how they never leave a note? Well this one did."

Flynnigan didn't hide his smile this time.
"Who's on forensics?"

"Anderson."

He groaned.
"I can't stand Anderson."

The Inspector raised an eyebrow.
"So you're not coming?"

He smiled in a almost frightening way, the strange desire still in his eyes.
"Oh of course I am."

The Inspector left with Flynnigan right behind. I just watched from the chair I had settled in at some point. Mrs. A sighed.
"How about some tea?"

I nodded.
"Yes, tea would be lovely thank you."

"Alright but just this once. I'm not your housekeeper."

Just then Flynnigan came back through the door and look around before seeing me.
"Hold on, you're a doctor?"

"Yes."

"See a lot of injuries. Painful deaths?"

"Yes."

"Bit of trouble?"

I stood up and approached him.
"Enough to last me a lifetime."

His eyebrows arched.
"Want to see some more?"

"Oh goodness yes."

We marched down the stairs to the door where we had left our coats. Mrs. A was waiting with a tray of tea. Flynnigan hugged her.
"Oh four matching suicides and now a note! It's practically Christmas!"

He kissed Mrs. A lightly on the cheek. She laughed.
"Look at you getting all excited. It's not decent."

He only laughed loudly and wrapped his scarf around his neck.
"Who cares about decent? The game, Mrs. A, is on!"
