Jungkook had presented today and his life could be over as it is.

He was an omega.

A stupid, useless, pathetic fucking omega. The boy rubbed his face in frustration for the hundredth time since he arrived home. His eyes were still amazingly damp after hours and hours of incessant crying. He dazedly remembered bawling his feelings out, screaming through his lungs until his throat felt hoarse. His anguish, this kind of anguish was something he didn't want to recall ever again in a million years.

Shuffling uncomfortably in the expansion of his bed, he pondered over the situation he had the unlucky shit of living.

His condition didn't make any sense: omegas were usually slim, delicate creatures. They were specifically designed by nature to be alluring and attractive and enticing and a bunch of other things Jungkook considered he wasn't. He was a bulk of a young man, strong and able to scare off even the worst of bullies. His parents said it, his taekwondo partners said it, hell, even the fucking doctor said it when his family took him to the clinic after they got the news from the medical exam at his school. It didn't line up. It just couldn't be fucking happening.

With a shuddery breath, he wrapped himself more tightly with his quilt.

He just hoped none of his hyungs found out.

At least until he was confident enough to tell.

But for now, he'd have to resort to the thing he did best.

Stay silent.

"You can at least consider it as an option, don't you think?"

Jimin just smiled back at him, partially embarrassed and partially guilty.

"I'm sorry, Hobi, but as much as I would like to say yes, you'll always be one of my best friends.", the shorter boy said, both of his hands holding Hoseok's in sincere apology. Hoseok tried to avoid overthinking once again as his childhood friend's fingers caressed the underside of his palms. With each stroke, Jimin's warm skin kept giving the other a final taste of what he would never be able to have, the smaller man's omega pheromones poisoning the air around them in soft, sunflower breaths.

The little, empty cracking sound of an already void heart could only be heard through the ears of its owner.

Instead, a forced smile grew on the corners of Hoseok's lips, enveloping himself in a perfect, flawless lie.

"It's okay Jiminie, I understand."

He didn't.
