Jane and I parted ways and headed to our lockers which sat on opposite spectrums of the school. The halls were filled once again with students heading to their second half of the day classes. I was glad Jane wanted to leave early. My heels clicked against the tiled floor with an echo. "Elijah!" I stopped and rolled my eyes. I was annoyed with him.

"I'm annoyed with you Cameron. Go away!" I yelled over my shoulder and turned left towards my lockers hall. I felt hands grab my shoulder and my back slammed into the wall behind me. The lockers blocking my view of anyone who could be near. I felt Cameron's body pressed into mine and my heart leaped.

"Would you stop for one moment, please, baby." His lips were beside my ear and a small shiver ran through me. I nodded, breathless. "Good girl." His hands moved to sit on my hips and he pressed his lower half into me.

"What happened to not telling anyone, Cam?" He shrugged.

"It was my best friends and cousin. You told Jane and I didn't shut you out. Elijah, come on. What's so wrong with people knowing we slept together?"

"Nothing is wrong with it, other than Chris finding out!" He shuddered and laughed. "I just got a little upset that you blurted it out like that."

"I'm sorry, El. It won't happen again. What we do is between us from now on. Now, I heard you told that boy yes to Semi." I nodded my head and looked at his hair that fell from behind his ears. I reached up and tugged on it, his head falling down towards me into a kiss. "Smooth." I laughed and pulled away. "I can't even be mad anymore. Go on a date with me after the dance. I'll pick you up from your house at ten. Have fun shopping. I'll come over after dinner tonight." He kissed my head and pulled away. I was flustered. I was trying to stay mad at him.

His black shirt hugged his body perfectly. I watched him walk away, his hands running through his wavy hair and pulling it back into a bun. I pushed off the wall and walked to my locker where Jane stood against it. A smirk on her face. "I saw everything. Just date already, honestly Elijah. You have him eating out of your palm. How are you holding out on this? The man is a walking god. His muscles literally ripple when he walks, and not in a nasty way, but the 'I work out every day but eat like a pig' kind of way. Plus he bathes you himself. Elijah. You have the one guy every girl wants." I rolled my eyes at her rambling and opened my locker.

"Jane, I know. But he hasn't asked me yet, so until then, we are simply still best friends. Who fuck. Everyday." She laughed and threw her book bag in my locker. I shut it and we began to walk out of the school towards her old beat-up bug. I'm surprised the thing hasn't broken down yet. "I was mad cause he let the cat out the bag and told our table that he and I fucked. I wasn't even mad really, just annoyed he said it so loud that others could have heard. I'm not embarrassed by him in any means. I'm in love with him. But I wasn't happy. I think that's why I said yes to that kid today. I already forget his name."

Jane laughed and we came to a stop in my driveway. Walking across the street towards my mom's dress shop. "Well, I already know you're going to marry Cameron. How could you not? Y'all have been best friends since pre-K and normally are attached to each other's hips, but until then, have fun. Don't tie yourself down." She closed her door and I followed suit getting ready to track across the street.

I wanted to be tied down. I wasn't one for sleeping around and dating other guys. I've been with Cameron since middle school. In a love interest way that is. I opened the door to my mom's shop and the smell of my father's muffins hit me. I wanted to drool. My mom's blonde hair whipped around at the sound of the bell in the corner of the entrance of the door. "Elly and Jane! I should yell at you both for not being in school, but I don't really care today. Come on! I just sold your design, Elly." A smile formed in my face as we paced after my mother who was running towards the back of her shop. I wasn't sure which design, considering I designed all of the dress here.
