They smiled at me, the sun was shining down on us. It was like how it used to be when everything was alright.
They opened the lunch boxes and offered me a sandwhich. My brothers are running barefoot on the sand and my sister is taking pictures of us.
My parents offered me their hands.
"Let's go swim." They said. I grinned and followed them to the shore. I hesitated, probably because I was afraid the water would be cold.
"Come on, it's okay!" They said. I looked back to my brothers who were still playing and my sister who was taking pictures of me. Then I slowly dipped my foot into the water.
It was surprisingly warm. I giggled and hopped in the water, running as fast as I could in the water towards my parents who seem to be getting further away every step I took.
Then I slipped and my whole body fell in the water. I tried to get up but I couldn't, I struggled to get up but something was holding me in the water.
A few seconds of swallowing weirdly unsalty ocean water, I succeeded on getting my head up the water.
My brothers were lying on the sand, side by side, they were not breathing.
My sister ran towards the car and drove away.
I cried for help but she didn't hear me. I cried some more. I turned around but my parents weren't there. No one was there. I called for my sister again.
She turned around. Looked at me. And mouthed an apology.
