"Sorry mom, I'm just super excited about practice tomorrow" I said while looking out the window watching the sun beam on the tall palm trees as they go by, I'm cool with being on a new basketball team but New York schools and LA schools are a lot different. My mom got a new job and we needed a new environment anyway, I'm gonna miss my bestie Ashanti so much but we promised to text and call each other in any spare time we have. We were on the same team back in New York, she was center and I'm the point guard. I started to zone out thinking about the things that could happen when I heard my name being called to get my attention, " (Y/N) come and help me unload the truck" My mom said through my window. Opening the door, I inhale the sweet smell of LA air. There where so many boxes that by the time we where done it was night, as I bring in the last box in the truck I see my mom unpacking the kitchen boxes. " I thought I asked you to label all the boxes" She said looking for something to cook, "I did, everything for the kitchen says kitchen" I say while walking over to her to help her, " Then why can't I find any of my pots or Macaroni"? " Because you didn't go through the boxes on the ground", "Oh, well thank you for helping my little Sherlock Holmes" I walk away laughing at her comment going to unpack the rest of the boxes. Finally being done with unpacking and decorating my new room exactly the way I want.
