The world had been preparing for a bunker to save us all from a radiation poisoning that was spreading around the world quickly. Most people panicked and started packing to leave; it was like the world was ending, and that wasn't completely a lie. It's more like the world was restarting in a way. Like when you restart a game. Usually when you restart a game something is different, and that's more like what happened.
December 23rd, 2019. The day the bunker was finished. Soldiers brought families with kids in the bunker first, then teens, then elders, and then soldiers. People were told that they would be stuck in the bunker for around 70 years, as that was how long it would take for all the radiation to clear up.
Not everyone made it in the safety bunkers around the world. People thought the radiation would kill them but it didn't. It did something else... it did something much stranger...
