Hi there. My name is Elisabeth Dixon, pretty formal, right? I go by Elsa, say I'm like that chick from "Frozen" and I will literally freeze your ass.

You see, I'm a daughter of Khione. Aka the Greek goddess of ice and snow, and her abilities are passed down to children, so yeah, I can literally freeze your ass.

I bet you're thinking right now, "This story isn't real," or "I love fiction." But the sad truth is, this is the story of my life. The story of a demigod's life. And by demigod, I mean half-human, half-god.

You don't see many of us in the real world, usually only children of Athena get successful and famous. Not naming any names, but let's just say our first president of the United States may or may not had had a godly parent. Back to the reason you don't see many of us, I'm gonna be blunt: we usually die. All demigods pretty much smell like McDonald's to all the monsters out there. (Yes, monsters are real too. Woohoo.)

The reason most of us survive is because we go to a special place for special kids like us! That's right, a mental hospital. Okay, okay, just kidding. We go to a camp called Camp Half-Blood (get the name, because, you know, half greek god blood and half human blood) which is the only place on Earth safe for kids like us. Protected by a dying girl who got turned into a tree then she got turned into a human again by ways I'll explain later.

Most demigods say Camp Half-Blood is a haven, the best place to be. And I thought other wise. I saw the way the gods treated their kids, ignoring them and not even bothering to claim them. They shove all the unclaimed in the Hermes cabin, and I was crammed in there for a year before being claimed by my mother. Some others saw it too, and we wanted to take a stand against it. So, we did. And that's where my story begins.
