I rub my eyes to clear my vision, I see silver hair and a bronze sword that has silver engravings in the hands of Callista. I quickly get up and draw my sword, as she does with hers. We begin to fight, my arm starting to ache so I begin to back up. If I can lead her into the battle, maybe someone will k her for me. Her face is no longer has the familiar soft expression and I've never seen bloodthirst in her eyes. I take a glance behind me, we're almost there. Callista sees this opportunity to take a swipe across my stomach. I feel it bleeding, but it's a thin cut. I keep back up until chaos roars back into my ears, and Callista widens her eyes as she looks at all the bodies. I can't help but to look too. Thomas, a fellow traitor, is fighting Sav. He trips over a bucket and falls back into the arsenal. Sav looks confused for a moment, and then he flies out, holding a rat and a bucket. Oh gods, he must watch Game Of Thrones. He kicks her bow out of hands and she fumbles to grab a arrow, but he's too quick. He's pinned her against the tree, the rat in the bucket and he sets it against her stomach. She's looking at him in fear as he reaches and grabs a burning branch from the forest and sets it against the end of the bucket. She lets out a ear splitting scream, I hear the scampering of the rat and more screaming. You see, when the rat is faced with heat then it burrows itself. Into her stomach. She screams for a few more moments before dropping limp. Thomas lets out a cruel laugh before Tas, his girlfriend, pops up, also smiling. She embraces him and kisses him, which is odd, because Sav was her best friend and she's a loyal. I realize this when I see her hand rising up, a dagger in it, and then she drives it into his back. Stabbed in the back, literally. Anything with a cock is easy to fool, valar morghulis.
She immediately drops next to his body and sobs, but she made a grave mistake of dropping the dagger. There's still some life left in him, as he grabs it and sticks it into the middle of her neck before Thomas coughs up some blood and falls limp, the same time Tas stays still as her blood is drained out of her.
I turn my gaze to see another duo fighting, Flora and Hugo. Both children of Hermes, only Flora's a traitor and Hugo isn't. The clank of their swords sounds like when you slip in the bathtub. But in one swift motion, Flora disarms him. She grins, a evil grin, and drives her sword into his stomach. He drops to the ground and she circles him, laughing and saying things I can't hear. I'm surprised when I see his arm fly up and knock her on her feet, then he rolls on top of her and I see his thumbs go into her eyes. It's a sight that wants to make me vomit. She's screaming so loud, I think I bursted an ear drum. Her screaming stops when I see he has partially bursting her skull, which creates a small little river of blood. His sword wound from earlier now starts to show damage, because he coughs up blood then falls limp.
Callista decides it's time to stop looking, and I stop her sword with mine before it can hit my neck. Jana joins in our little battle, which sucks because it's two against one. I try and deflect each blow, the fighting is becoming a frenzy. We all turn because of a loud yell, and I spot Julie, being burned alive. Jana looks for a moment too long, because Ass has snuck behind her and drove her sword into her heart. Callista grunts of anger and drops her sword, raising her arms and closing her eyes as she brings a huge blast of water down on Ass. Natalie, her sister, sees this and helps with the second blow of water. By that time, Ass is on the ground and panting. Natalie slowly walks up, and then stabs her sword into her femoral artery. I only memorized where it was incase it came in handy, Natalie must have too. Ass bleeds out in a matter of seconds. Natalie keeps a hard look on her face, staring at Ass's mangled body as I did once to Aella. She gasps as a arm grabs her neck, turning it quickly and I hear a sickening snap. Her body drops and I see Kade, also traitor, standing there. He killed his own sister, but nobody is safe. Callista covers her mouth, looks at me before lunging forward and with one swift motion, slicing Kade's throat.
The battle is dying down and I still haven't completed my mission, so I raise my sword as Callista picks up hers. We move back into the familiar rhythm of sword fighting. She keeps moving back, as I did early. My movements are becoming sluggish and tired. Which side as one? I don't know. I'm pretty sure most of each side died. I'm snapped back into reality when Callista hits my sword with such force, it's knocked out of my hands. I widen my eyes in fear and take off running, hoping to reach the arsenal. I hear her speedy footsteps behind me, I look back and then slip. I groan as I realize I slipped and fell into wet mud. Wait a second, mud means there's water around. I look up in horror to see the lake and I turn around to see Callista, a grin on her face and her sword dropped. You know that one saying, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink? Well, what I was thinking was, "You lead a angry daughter of Poseidon to water, and you're fucked."
Before I knew it, a blast of water hit me squarely in the chest and blew against a tree. The wind was knocked out of me. I was trying to catch my breath when Callista grabbed me by the collar and thruster me up, slamming her fist into my mouth before tossing me onto the ground. I spit out a tooth and blood, I thought it was over until Callista grabbed my arms and started dragging me through the mud and to the water. She dunked my body into it, and her hands were holding my down. I tried to struggle, but her grip was too strong. Her nails were digging into my neck. I tried freezing the water with a fetal attempt, which failed. My powers were drained and so were I. My lungs began to burn as they ran out of oxygen. My arms reached out in a futile attempt, grasping nothing. My lungs began to burn more, it felt like being kicked over and over again in the chest. Her grip remained the same.
I could see her tears dropping to the surface of the water. I wanted to cry too, but I don't think you can cry under water. I was going to die, I knew it. It was inevitable. My lungs forced me to breath, only taking in salty water which made me gag. They say when you're about to die, your life flashes by you. I guess my life didn't begin until Camp Half-Blood, because that's when the memories started. Vivid memories that I don't even recall came flooding back into my mind. I remember when I met Rowan, and her immediate distaste of my fashion sense but still. I remember Sera and I laughing because people would call us fire and ice, or how she would always playfully roll her eyes at me when I didn't want to get to close to the campfire. I remember waking up to a blast of light and the familiar saying of, "Rise and sun, bitches." Julie, Kal, and myself having sleepovers that made us feel like normal teenage girls. Adriana, who would always charmspeak cashiers into giving us free stuff. Batty, who was your classic daughter of Hades, and how annoyed but happy she got when I would call her a ray of sunshine. And my final memory floats by, Callista hugging me the campfire after she had been claimed. "We're sisters, I promise you. He's your dad, too." She had said.
I felt something give my hand a squeeze as my life, my memories, and myself began to fade. I took in more water, then everything went black as my body floated limp.
Do I regret my choices?
No.
