Money.
That's basically the only thing my life evolves around on.
Money and sin.
But as two buff men grip my arms and drag me to God knows where, I have to say this is something new.
The way they managed to fool me into taking that job which resulted to me being drugged by them and bringing me here was far beyond my comprehension.
I carefully eyed the two men on either side of me out of the corner of my eye.
They have some guts, I'll give them that.
Kidnapping and drugging the most well-known assassin and bringing her underground with minimal escape routes. Plus, they let me gain consciousness without even considering to tie me down or cover my eyes. They just assigned two buff and armed men to guard me.
Now I'm more curious to find out who the mad psycho is that's behind this joke.
They both roughly pulled me to a corner where we were greeted by a door that was once again guarded by armed men.
I squinted my eyes and racked my brain if any of them looked familiar other than their clothing cause maybe this is all just a game of revenge and I'm just wasting my time by being excited over something boring.
They nodded their heads to the two men that was holding me before raising their hands to salute them as they stepped aside, pushing the door open.
They're soldiers?
A frown etched on my face as I stared at them, eyes burning into theirs making them uncomfortable enough to look away making me mentally smirk.
Probably not full on soldiers then.
The men started dragging me again into the room that was surprisingly spacious but empty judging on how loud our footsteps were. There was nothing in here but a single lightbulb above our heads.
The fuck is this.
We finally stopped moving, halting underneath the single lightbulb. My eyes scanned my surroundings but it was difficult to figure out what's happening considering that I was basically surrounded by darkness.
"Okay" I breathe out, stretching my neck and wrists. The small movement made them both grip my arms tighter, a hand automatically on their weapons making me roll my eyes.
I sighed. If they're smart enough to even think this through. A gun may be considered as a weapon for self defense but it all depends on the situation.
And the person you're defending yourself with.
After waiting for a few more seconds, I impatiently bit my lip and craned my neck to my right.
A guy around his mid 30's with a large tattoo on his neck and a stone cold impression was what greeted me.
"Buddy, care to tell me what this is all about?" I said casually in hopes to get an answer.
But ofcourse, came up empty handed.
I sighed again before tilting my neck to the other guy who looks a bit younger than the other.
"What is this?" He didn't answer me.
Didn't even look at me or probably consider my presence since they were both wearing stone cold expressions whilst looking out infront or maybe side wards, I don't know it's too dark to even know where we're facing.
I sighed annoyed before looking at the direction they were staring at.
Normally, I would have just shut my mouth and figure out the situation myself but as I waited for another five minutes with nothing happening, I'm beginning to conclude this whole thing is pointless.
