AUGUST 1st 2017 CONT.
I looked over at the house and that's when I saw him.
Chance Sutton was standing, shirtless, on the balcony of the house with the kids surrounding it.
He locked eyes with me and I felt my cheeks warm up. He smiled then ran inside. I rested my head on the car in embarrassment as he ran out the front door of the house, with a shirt on.
I heard the kids scream and felt so many eyes on me as I just hid in my hands.
"The cute smoothie guy who likes your bracelet," Chance chuckled.
I rose my head smiling sarcastically until my ears filled with screams.
"ALEXIS!"
"OMG, I LOVE STRANGER THINGS!"
"WHATS MILLIES NUMBER?"
"OMG IS CHANCE THE CUTE SMOOTHIE GUY?"
"CHALEXIS!"
All I could hear was these little kids yelling, we were surrounded.
"Come with me," Chance said grinning.
I followed him up the road and the kids eventually stopped following us.
"How bad was it?" I mumbled gritting my teeth, looking up at him walking beside me.
"It was... cute," He laughed.
"Cute? It was the fucking Emmy awards!" I whined. "In front of literally all of the most important people in Hollywood. You know what... maybe I should just end my career now,"
"Oh shut up, I bet no one even remembers." Chance said.
"Sorry... have you been on the internet today?"
"Yes, actually if you didn't know currently I'm known as the cute smoothie guy," He laughed.
"You know my brother knows who you are," I smiled after a small pause. "What do you even do?" I laughed.
"YouTube," he smiled at me making my insides turn.
"Fun..." I trailed. "Sorry I don't know anything about it,"
"Basically you post videos and people watch them,"
"How many people?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"2 million," He grinned proudly.
"Oooh... see I bet you use that to pick up girls," I joked. "But it's just not impressive to me... try 20 million," I smirked.
"Ooooh, that burned," He said touching his heart making me laugh. "Do you want to grab lunch?" He asked almost nervously.
"Sure," I grinned.
We walked on Melrose until we got to a Chipotle.
"I hope you aren't vegan because then we can't be friends..." Chance laughed as we walked into Chipotle.
"Don't worry, I'm not that LA... yet." I laughed. "I've been spending the last couple months in the south anyway," I said saying the last part in a southern accent making Chance laugh.
"I didn't really notice how Australian you sound until I heard you on the TV last night," Chance smiled. "My friends were blown away, they all thought you were American because apparently, you do a very good American accent on Stranger Things."
"You mean like this?" I said in my American accent.
"Woah, what the fuck," Chance said taken aback. "How are you so good at that?"
"It's kinda part of my job so I have to be good at it," I giggled.
"That's creepy," Chance laughed. "What do you want?"
"It's alright, I can pay for myself,"
"No, I asked you to go for lunch so I'm paying!" Chance argued. By this time we were already at the front of the line.
"What can I get for you?" The woman asked.
I looked at Chance and he gestured for me to order.
"Hi, can I please get a chicken salad with brown rice, black beans, veggies, tomato salsa and lettuce please," I said scrunching my face at Chance.
"Sure thing, and for you?"
Chance ordered his and paid for us both. We then went to wait for our food which was going to take a while as there were so many people here.
"So, tell me about yourself," Chance asked me.
"Ask me questions and I'll answer them," I laughed.
"How old are you?"
"19,"
"Home town?"
"Sydney, Australia,"
"Siblings?"
"Two brothers, a twin called Mason and 9-year-old called Noah,"
"When did you move to America,"
"When I was seventeen,"
"Best friend?"
"Riley Parker and Millie Bobby Brown,"
"Favourite place you've travelled?"
"France, New York or... Bahamas,"
"Biggest achievement?"
"Are we forgetting I won an Emmy last night?" I giggled.
"Single or taken?"
"Single," I smiled feeling my cheeks warm.
"Wha-"
"Order for Chance?" The worker called out cutting Chance off.
He went to go collect our food leaving me smiling probably looking like a psychopath.
"Thank you," I grinned as I took my food from him, as I took the box my hand brushed his sending shivers down my spine.
I looked up and our eyes met, we just looked into each other's eyes for a moment until my phone started to ring.
"Sorry!" I said scrunching my face.
I got my phone out and saw my publicist calling.
"Sorry, I have to take this," I groaned.
I walked outside and answered the call.
"Hey, Miranda," I said.
"Alexis! Who is the cute smoothie guy?" Miranda my publicist barked over the phone.
"No one, I don't even know why I said that." I sighed palming my face.
"Well don't regret it! Have you seen how many headlines you've made?"
"Yes, but is it really important to overview what has happened in the last twelve hours? I'm kind of busy," I whined.
"Ok... well in that case unless you do something really stupid publically. I will see you before season 2 press,"
"Wait... are you saying I have two months off?" I squealed.
"For now yes, but remember you never kno-,"
"You never know when a huge opportunity will present itself," I said finishing her quote. "Ok, bye!" I hung up the call and turned around to see Chance waiting about ten meters away.
"You look happy," Chance laughed as I walked up to him.
"I just found out that I have two months off!" I squealed.
"Congratulations," He smiled.
I wanted to hug him but I thought it might be weird because I don't really know him.
"Shall we eat?" I smirked holding up my food box.
"Sure,"
We sat down on a bench and began to eat as Chance told me about himself. I had a really good time. I've spent the last three months talking to the cast and crew so it was nice to talk to someone else for a change.
