School wasn't a joy to me as it was to other people. Maybe you enjoy school because you get to hang out with your friends. Goof around and stuff. The only reason I get up to school with some eagerness is to get away from home and Sophie, who by the way, today was bombarding me with questions. All of them about what was the whole thing that happened yesterday. I seriously didn't want to tell her anythng because she gets all mad. And she always trys to do something about it.
"Nothing happened," I said frustrated.
"I know I'm annoying you right now but I am not dropping this," she said sternly.
I knew she cared about me. In fact she cared about me a lot. Too much. I was like her baby. It was nice to be treated like a baby once in a while.
"Fine!" I said turning to her furious. "I had another fight with my father. I just didn't want you to be there because i knew my father would do something stupid! You should already have guessed that!"
Sophie stood there quite speechless. She shook her head and weakly smiled.
"I'm sorry," she said.
"Sorry for what?" I asked confused.
"For bothering you about it. I know how much you hate talking about that and I kept pressing on. I hope my random visit didn't cause much trouble,"
"No. it's okay. It's nice to know you care," I smiled sheepishly. I had thanked her so many times the whole day about the money.
"Don't thank me. Thank Alexander," she had said.
We walked to our last class for the day which was probably one of the best classes. Math class. It wasn't the subject that I liked. I hated math. It was never my strongest subject. All the numbers and equations just give me headaches. It was the class that I liked. In fact, I was actually making some close friends there. All thanks to my dear Sophie.
"Blake! You came!" a girl named Hailie yelped surprised.
"Uhh. Yeah. Was I not expected here?" I chuckled as I took my seat.
"No. Uh. It's just that Sophie told me you were moving schools," she said glaring at Sophie. Sophie's face immediately brightened up and she began to laugh pretty loudly. Everyone in class turned over to our cluster as Sophies laughs bounced off the walls.
I looked over at Hailie and sheepishly smile because I couldn't think of anything else to do. She held on to her pencil and fidgeted with it, chewing on her lip and expecting an answer from me.
"Aww. Thanks for worrying I guess.. And why would she say that?" I said a bit creeped out, planting my eyes on dying Sophie.
"Why do you care Hailieeee?" asked my other friend Evan.
"Cause she likes Blake!" shouted Sophie as if she has been waiting to say it all her life.
I sat there shocked staring at Haile. Wow. They couldn't have made this process slower. Just BAM! Hailie likes you. She turned bright red and looked down, holding on tight to her pencil and I started to feel bad for her. I would definitely get angry at Sophie if she were to put me in such a position. Well she definitely had no chance with me 'cause I am a beautiful sin.
"Well... Now you know," she sheepishly said.
"Ask her out!" Evan urged.
Sophie looked toward me and tried her true best to hold in a laugh. Oh God I hated her so much right now. More than I hated bell pepper and brussel sprouts.
