Akio lived in a strange world. It was no where but everywhere. A world where anything can happen and everything is real. This world was in peace. But then, a dark evil arose one day. An evil that was not meant to rise. Now this world is nothing like it was before. Anything can still happen but a limit has been placed. Evil now resides and the peace has been destroyed. Akio had a job to do. Prophecy told of a special human who can break the limit and is the only one to save this world. Akio had to get him.
"But Mom! It's not fair!" exclaimed Hotaru.
"I'm sorry dear. I truly am but I only have two tickets and your dad and I have to go for the job," replied Mom. "I told you many times!"
"But how long will it take?" asked Hotaru.
"It can take anywhere from one week to a year," said Mom. "I'm really sorry."
"It's okay..." said a defeated Hotaru.
"Ok, then, we're leaving," said Dad popping out of nowhere. "The cab is here."
"Well, we'll be off then," said Mom.
Hotaru was 16 year old. He was very intelligent, had long blonde hair, greenish to blue eyes, and was very talented. Everyone said that he was meant for something bigger. Little did Hotaru know that this was more than true.
"Well, guess there's nothing left for me to do but, well, whatever I want!" exclaimed Hotaru.
Two days passed and the door bell rang. Hotaru got up and walked to the door. He opened the door to see a man about the age of 20 floating about two inches above the ground.
"Hello, my name is Akio," said the man.
"Uh, um, I'm Hotaru," stuttered Hotaru.
"Why are you stuttering?" asked Akio.
"You, you, you're FLOATING!" exclaimed Hotaru.
"Oh?" replied Akio. "You can see that? That's amazing. Now I know for sure you're the one!"
"Uhh, the one?" asked a perplexed Hotaru.
"Oh! I forgot!" exclaimed Akio. "You don't know anything."
"Don't know anything!?!?!?" asked a mad Hotaru. "I'm actually pretty smart."
"I meant my world," said Akio. "Your parents must have told you."
"Your world? You act as if you're not from Earth," said Hotaru.
"See, you know!" said Akio. "Your parents did tell you!"
At first, Hotaru didn't understand. Suddenly, realization hit him.
"You're kidding right?" asked Hotaru.
"No, no I'm not," said Akio. "It's that."
"But it can't be!" yelled Hotaru getting mad.
"It is," said Akio in a calm voice.
"NO! LIES! LIES! EVERYTHINGS A LIE! YOU'RE A LIE! YOU'RE NOT REAL! GET AWAY FROM ME! GET AWAY FROM ME!" exclaimed a sobbing Hotaru.
"It's ok. I know it's a sore subject," said Akio trying to soothe Hotaru. "But you just broke down."
"That's because they told me everything," said Hotaru still sobbing but a little calmer.
"No, no, no, no! They weren't supposed to tell you that much. Oh no, oh no!" said Akio getting agitated. "We have to get you back. This is isn't safe anymore."
"But i can't leave! This is the only place I have left!" yelled Hotaru. "I can't go with you."
"You must go," said Akio. "For the greater good."
"What greater good?" asked Hotaru. "Sacrifice? Death? Sorrow?"
"You don't understand. What your parents told you is for the good," said Akio. "You must come."
"But I don't even know anything about it or even what I have to do," said Hotaru. "Infact, I don't even think I'm the one."
"You are," said Akio. "And it's important that you come. Not only for our safety, but for your safety as well."
"I can't come!" said Hotaru.
"Hotaru, your parents didn't leave for a business trip. They knew I was coming. And they knew what will happen," said Akio. "They entrusted my with you and you must come. They'll find out I'm here."
"Who?" asked Hotaru. "Who'll find out?"
Suddenly, an explosion rocked the house. The roof of the house was dragged open and men dropped in. Helicopters buzzed around the air and the sky above became a dark red.
"Them," said Akio. "Run!"
Akio grabbed Hotaru and started running faster than a normal human should have. However, the men ran just as fast, some even faster. Suddenly, without an explanation, Akio flew in to the air. They were going extremely fast in to the air when Akio jerked around and started falling towards the ground at an even faster pace,.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!? YOU'RE GOING TO GET US KILLED!" exclaimed Hotaru.
However, Akio didn't answer back.
