My life isn't what you think

          The names Arden, I have two siblings max and Raina. Our parents are Isaac and Natalie Lord.
My sister Raina is twenty, Max my twin brother and I are almost eighteen. I came to believe I'm the coolest out of us all. Max is a tech nerd and Raina well she's cool from what I remember, I haven't seen her in a few years, she left as soon as she turned 18 and we don't know where she went.

          My best friend is Lilian Smith, she is the same age as as Max and I. She was born only a week after us. We have been friends since birth. I guess from what I was told, the Smiths and my family have known each other for years.

To be honest my life is pretty great.

"Hello, love", mom says to me as I walk into the kitchen.

"Hey" I say back.

I hate talking when I'm tired. I guess you can say I'm not a morning person. The kitchen smells amazing, mom is making pancakes and bacon with eggs on the side. Dad is up stairs getting a little more sleep in. I guess they don't have work today.

Today is the first day of junior year. Since I have my license and a car I don't have to ride the loud bus every morning.

"Come one we don't want to be late", Max tells me this before he runs out the door. I decided to take my time, and who wants to go anyway. I get in the car and look over to see an anxious Max sitting next to me, he should by now know that Lilian is my Best friend, so she is the one who gets to sit upfront.

"What are you doing? you know the rules, so go on and get in the back", when I tell him this all he does is grunt and give me a dirty look as he moves to the back.

We pull up to Lilian's house and wait for her to come out. Her house is like mine, but mines a different color.  Her parents John and Hannah Smith run this huge business with my parents. None of us kids besides Raina know what the job is. She is the only one Dad told about what goes on in the work place.

"HELLO!" Lilian yells as she is getting in the car.

"You do know that just because it's the first day back you don't have to be overly excited" she just smiles at me.

"Plus I hear you everyday. So no need to project your voice so loud" giving me this fake hurt look, she puts her hand over her chest.

While acting like a child I hear Max in the back laughing at her. We finally pull up onto the school's parking lot. While they are getting out I stay in the car and brace myself for what is about to happen when I get inside.
