Feeling alone

Chapter 3- black eye

When I woke up the next day I felt horrible. Last night my mum beat me and screamed at me for an hour last night. When I went over to my vanity I noticed something different. I HAD A BLACK EYE. Oh my gosh. Maddie is going to make fun of me.
I just decided to get on with my day. As usual I got into a nice hot shower, got dressed and did my hair and make up. Finally I grabbed my bag and left the house

At school

Once I arrived I pulled my hoodie up and looked down. I probably looked like a robber. I suddenly was turned around. I squeezed my eyes shut knowing it would be Maddison but to my surprise it was Luke.
"Hay rose" he said " so you known the big English project set yesterday. I was wondering if I could come round and we could pair up and do the project at yours that sound good."
Uh oh. I didn't want to sound rude but I know my mum wouldn't allow this. I will just have to say no.
" sure" I told him. WHAT AM I DOING 😳😳😳😳.
" Great see ya after school."
O my god what have I done.
Suddenly the bell went so I headed of to class. This is going to be a long day.

After school

After my final class I headed over to my locker. I noticed Luke standing there waiting for me.
"Hay" he shouted
"Let's go get our project done partner."
I laughed and then headed out.

Home
After the long bus ride we finally arrived home. I noticed my mums car was in the drive way. Oh no. I tried to swallow my fear down but that was a fail as my fear started to run through my whole body. I grabbed my keys out and opened the door using my shaking hands.
"Mum I am home." I called
" And I have uh uh a friend here to. We're um working on a project."
The kitchen door slowly opened and here showed my mother with a massive smile on her face.
" Rosie you didn't tell me we were having guest. I am roses mother Amanda. It's so nice to meet you." My mother said.
" you to run upstairs and I will get your dinner ready."
" yes mother" I said politely.
" come on Luke let's get started.

(2 hours later)

"Kids dinners ready"
We headed downstairs and sat down. My mother placed a clear plate in front of me and Luke.
" Go on get started Luke."
We both started to grab our food but before I could go grab a bread role my mother stop me
"Rose what are you doing your name isn't Luke." I sat there confused.
" rose you known you are on that all salad diet. Here you go now enjoy."
She placed down a salad for me to eat. I looked up to her with pleading eyes but while Luke wasn't looking she have me one of her glares to eat it. I quickly picked up my knife and fork and began to eat.

After dinner Luke headed home and ,you guessed it, my mother was furious with me she told me to head downstairs and be ready. Oh no I am in big trouble tonight.
