In his mind, Youngjae knows that he forgave Jaebum.

But that's in his mind.

In his heart, the painful memories with Jaebum were what stopped him from going to the older, kissing the shit out of him and calling him daddy.

Jaebum was different.

Jaebum knew in both his mind and heart that Youngjae was the one he wanted, that he'd love to be able to love Youngjae.

But it really is a waiting game.

A waiting game to see how long it takes for Youngjae to come to terms with the fact that what's in the past is in the past.

Sure, the memories may be memories he doesn't like, memories he'd rather never think about, but then again, they're memories. Past tense.

And Jaebum, being the intellectual he is, knew what Youngjae was thinking, and how conflicted he was.

Therefore, the older respected the younger when he said he needed time to think. Everything was going really well between them, and Jaebum just wanted to smother Youngjae with kisses and love already, but he'd wait.

Because that's what Youngjae wants.
