Luna was strolling along the third floor corridor, waving her arms around randomly, humming a song to herself, unaware that a certain redheaded beauty was gazing after her.
"Oy! Loony!"
Luna spun around, grinning as she saw Ron. Ginny flushed at her smile, glaring at her brother for being so rude to her crush. At least not knowledgably. Ugh.
"Ron. Stop being such an asshole.."
"Language, Li'l sister."
Luna gazed at Ginny, blushing at her defence of the 'Loony' kid in the school; her eyes glazed over as she stared.
"Luna..?"
Luna snapped back to reality after daydreaming about her and Ginny doing... things. (A/N: FILTHY LUNA!) Ginny smiled at her blush. "We need to go to cla-"
Ginny was interrupted by Neville Longbottom, who was holding a fistful of limp daisies from the grounds, blushing a bright red. "W-will you-" "No. I'm sorry, I only have one person in mind." Neville smiled in understanding. "Well... Luna? Will yo-" "I have somebody in mind too." Luna murmured, glancing over at Ginny. Perfect in every way. "Sorry."
"The unrest in France will lead to anarchy. Anarchy. How you say..? Oh. Anarchy." (Je m'appelle Lafayette- Oh. That was not a Hamilton reference, okay? Okay.)
A blonde girl smiled at Diggory, who was looking uncomfortable in the centre of a crowd of girls. "Eep."
Ginny laughed. "The Yule Ball's causing a bit of chaos, eh Luna?" The mentioned 'lunatic' smiled. "Definitely."

Ginny sobbed. "But Luna-"
"I know."
Harry looked over at them maliciously. He had accused Ginny of 'lesbianism'. She was not a lesbian, only BI. God, kids these days.
Anyway, Ginny's lips were met by Luna's soft pair, both Ginny and Luna blushing, confused as to why Luna had done that. Not that either of them didn't like it.
"Well."
"Ew."
"Disgusting."
"Damn Lesbians."
"Ginny, you are a disgrace."
Almost all of the children's heads were turned towards the pair. Ginny sobbed again at the disgusted faces and hateful comments they were earning. Today was not good for Ginny. Or Luna. As the blonde was being dragged towards the fire. And hit. Ginny was not taking the force as her ex-boyfriend was defending her.
'Out of Love'.
Michael turned to scowl at Ginny. "You're lucky I still love you. Or you'd be dead meat." He snapped, ending with a slap to Ginny's face.
Ginny sat there in simple astonishment. Dumbledore would help, surely. The aforementioned man walked in, eyes twinkling at Luna and Ginny. "You two. Girls' dormitory. As for the rest of you, stay there and refrain from hitting either of these ladies." His head turned to Michael Corner, who shifted his weight on his feet uncomfortably.
As the three headed up the stairs, Ginny noticed that Dumbledore didn't activate the slide mechanism in the stairs. His eyes twinkled at her as if to reply. Slowly, the three trundled into the girls' quarters. Dumbledore smiled. "No need to fret. While the children of Gryffindor are small minded, I myself believe that you can love each other. If you wish, you may go to the ball as a... Couple." He left too fast for Ginny or Luna to realise that their hands were entwined. They looked at each other for a moment, contemplating what to do. Neither of them needed to ask the other; they simultaneously placed their lips together. Ginny shifted her weight to sit on Luna's lap, lifting her hands to Luna's face. They pulled away after a while of pure bliss.
"Will you go to the ball with me?"
