I filed him with papers. And I got him to sign them. I went to dad and told him what I felt like I could. And I cried.
And he told me “he isn’t worth your tears.”

For months I felt broken. But one day, I thought ‘maybe there’s hope for everyone’. And so I picked up my rusty old laptop, and wrote.
I wrote about hardhips, about stuggle. About life.

I worked on it for months and used all of my extra money to send it to an editor and get it published.
And yes, it did get published.
And yes, it did get famous.
And three years later, it did get turned into a movie.
And yes, the movie was a hit.
And yes, I do feel great.
