Just a little short because I haven't updated in a while.
She watched as the life drained from his eyes, she watched as his body went limp, she watched as his chest became still, she heard it when the air left his body for the last time ,and she heard it when the house that was normally filled with his drunken yelling became as quiet as a tomb
All she could feel was relief, relief that spread to every inch of her blood-covered body. Not a single part of her was shaking in anything other than happiness, tears of joy streamed down her face and onto the hard tile floor.
Was she laughing?
Yes.
She was.
She didn't know what to do about the adrenalin that ran though her veins other than the fact that she wanted to keep feeling that glorious feeling forever. She had never felt anything like it, taking the life of a man, but this was the best she had ever felt in her short, miserable, pain-filled life and she wanted to do what ever it took to keep feeling this way.
