Chapter Five

"Cuts" I responded simply.

They seemed surprised that I told them, they probably think I'm insane.

Good.

"Charlie this is serious why do you do this?" said Liam from behind me.

"Because I broke a promise."

I did break a promise. I promised I would never love anything or anyone again after Diana. and I learned to love music I learned to be semi happy. I broke my promise to her. Well part of it.

"That's not a good reason charlie it's not good to do this to yourself and whoever was stupid enough to give you a promise you obviously couldn't keep should rot in hell because-"

I cut Harry off , while trying to not punch his face in.

"Take it back." I said as calm as I possibly could.

"No Charlie why do you do this to yourself if you broke a promise? it's never to late to fix things." said Louis.

"I cant."

"Why not?"

"I can't, I can't, I CAN'T OKAY!"

I couldn't take it anymore I ran to my room and locked myself in.

"I wish I could fix it but I can't. Diana I'm so sorry that I can't." I whispered as I rested my head on my knees and cried until I fell asleep, there in a corner of a stormy sky, alone.

He ran to his room and I ran after him I put my ear to the door and heard something.

"I wish I could fix it but I can't. Diana I'm so sorry that I can't"

Then it got quiet.

I walked down the stairs and all the boys were there waiting for me.

"Guys we should give him some time to cool off." said Niall

"We didn't mean to upset him we just wanted him to tell us were his uncles Zayn! we should know!" said Lou

"I'm his father Louis, and I deserve to know just as much as you but he needs to calm down, before we can have a civilized conversation."

I paced in the living room running a hand through my hair.

"NO!NO PLEASE!" someone screamed.

I turned to see all the boys confused, before I bolted up the steps with them hot on my trail.

I twisted the doorknob only to find it locked. I took out the house keys and picked the one for Charlie's room and opened the door.

He was on the floor his eyes tightly closed and tears on his cheeks.

I ran over to him scooped him up bridal style and he calmed and relaxed against my chest.

The boys left the room and I put Charlie on his bed when he wouldn't let go of my shirt.

"Please don't leave me."

"I won't bud I promise I won't"

With that I crawled into bed beside him as he cried and held him.

"I just want her back."

"Shh. just go to sleep."

I rocked him and soon his breathing slowed and he fell asleep. and I fell asleep with him.
