Jooheon had never been the one who wore his heart on his sleeve.
To him, feelings were nothing more than a burden. He had seen and experienced too much to let himself be clouded by lies.
To him, the world is a survival. He was born to be a survivor and for that, he would do anything to make sure his life was secured.
To him, power is everything. People seek strength because only the weak would be left behind and treated like dirt. He won't allow himself to be looked down upon.
To him, love is...
love is...
He couldn't answer, and he didn't think he would ever have the answer to that.
Because love was something he would never experience.

Changkyun woke up in cold sweat. His head was heavy and throbbing, his hands were shaking.
It was that dream again.
Changkyun closed his eyes to calm the rapid beats of his heart and his uneven breaths. He looked up at the clock on his wall, blinking away the fuzziness.
1.24 a.m.
"Great, another sleepless night," Changkyun sighed as he got out of his bed and walked to the kitchen.
He poured a glass of water and stood by the counter, hands gripping tightly on the glass as his brain kept reminding him of the past.
You're a disappointment, Changkyun.
He took a shaky breath and closed his eyes.
Why are you even alive? She could've been saved if you don't exist.
Changkyun's eyes snapped open and he put down the empty glass on the table roughly, causing it to twirl a little with loud clanking noise.
"Stop putting his voice inside my head! Just stop!"
Changkyun slid down on the kitchen tiles as he gripped his throbbing head. "Fuck, I need to get out of here."
He stood up, went to the living room to pick up his keys, wallet, knife and gun on the table before sliding in a black hoodie and walked straight out of the door.
.........................................................
Ah, the rotten smell of soulless bodies with messed up minds. A perfect place for all the fucked ups in this shitty world.
Changkyun grimaced as he stood a few steps away from the entrance leading to the 'underground'. He could feel the chills in the midnight air but he had slowly gotten used to it as he had been coming here since he was a young and innocent boy.
He chuckled darkly at the thought.
When he first stumbled into the underground, he had been petrified, thinking that he would be swallowed up by the wicked air lingered around him at that time. He was a shaking mess and pretty much messed up emotionally.
That night was the turning point of his life.
Changkyun pulled his hoodie over his head, leaving only his messy black hair covering his forehead. With his gun neatly tugged in the back of his jeans and under his shirt, he walked straight into the dark alley leading to the underground.
As soon as he stepped in, a voice blocked his track.
"Well, well, look who's here. I see you're still alive and kicking," The man said with amusement.
Changkyun turned slightly to look at his left. A man, rather short and small, stood in the shadow with his hands in his pocket. A trace of smirk evidenced on his face.
"And I see you're still as creepy as ever. Darkness don't suit you, kihyun," Changkyun spat and glared at the figure in the dark.
Kihyun laughed as he pushed himself off the wall and walked towards Changkyun. "And you would be the perfect ally of the darkness. Don't you think so, huh, I.M?"
Kihyun knew that he was pushing the wrong button and Changkyun would kill him if he kept trying any further.
"Whatever the fuck you're trying to do, you better stop right there. I'm not in the mood for your bullshit, kihyun."
Kihyun frowned. Something's not right.
"Changky-"
"Don't," Changkyun stepped forward and pressed his knife on kihyun's throat. The pressure of the knife caused a little blood slipping out of the cut.
Despite the tension in the air added with Changkyun's deathly glare directed to him, he managed to stay calm and slowly raised his hand to Changkyun's wrist, pushing it lightly from his face.
"You know I don't mean harm, I.M," he sighed and ran his fingers through his dark hair, "I just wanna help you cope with it."
Changkyun dropped his hand and slipped back the knife in his sleeve. "I don't need your help or pity. Just mind your fucking business."
Kihyun shrugged. "Fine, I get it, you don't have to get so worked up about it, though," He complained slightly while wiping the blood off his neck.
"Anyway, have you been stirring up trouble lately?"
Changkyun frowned with the question. He didn't think he had caused problems with anyone as he preferred to work quietly. "I don't think so, why?"
"Because Jooheon is searching for you."
