"Ugh," Changkyun grunted as he pressed his wounded arm. He walked slowly, breathing heavily to keep his eyes open until he reached his current hideout.
He let himself fell on the couch when he safely entered without passing out at the door. "Shit," changkyun pulled off his black hoodie and whimpered in pain as he felt his arm muscles throbbed.
No, it was not the first time that he had been shot but the pain was still unbearable, or in other words, it hurt like hell. Changkyun was lucky that the bullet only grazed the skin of his right arm and thank God he was left handed.
Changkyun got up to go to the bathroom where he could clean his wound properly. That included pouring water on the wound to wash off the blood and stitching it afterwards so his arm could work just as fine as before. Of course, Changkyun didn't pass all that without a string of curses.
He wrapped a bandage on his arm neatly and when he was done, he looked up at the mirror in front of him. His reflection was blurry.
"What the fuck are you doing with your life, Im Changkyun?" He mumbled to himself.
The sound of his phone snapped him out of his thought, notifying that a message had come in. Changkyun washed his face quickly and went to retrieve his phone.
"I already banked them in as you stated. now I'll pretend that our deal had never existed."
The message had read.
Changkyun scowled, "he could at least say thanks, ungrateful bastard."
He threw his phone on the sofa next to him and laid down, his uninjured arm was placed behind his head as a pillow.
It was not long until sleep engulfed him fully along with the unwanted nightmare.

"Lee Minhyuk, get your ass over here!" Jooheon shouted from the kitchen.
It was 9 in the morning and Jooheon was eating breakfast but a certain sleeping beauty won't wake up from his beauty sleep. Jooheon didn't usually mind but right now he wanted information from that person and his patience was running out.
Not long after that, Jooheon heard a loud thump and low grunt before coming face to face with a freshly woken up, grumpy ball of sunshine Lee Minhyuk.
"You could've woken me up like a normal person instead of screaming bloody murder at the top of your lungs and causing me to jerk awake and fell out of bed in the process and nearly rolled down the stairs and hurt my other body parts along the way," Minhyuk complained as he made his way to the kitchen while rubbing his right arm, which Jooheon believed was the body part that had been hurt from the waking up process.
Jooheon looked up at Minhyuk, eyes shining with amusement, "stop being overdramatic."
Minhyuk gasped at him but didn't respond. He didn't have much energy to argue and his tummy was craving for food.
He took a seat next to Jooheon and stole a sandwich from Jooheon's plate, eating it without much care.
"So, what's the matter?" Minhyuk asked a few moment after he finished swallowing his sandwich.
"I wanna know about your digging. Any progress?"
Minhyuk grinned, "oh that! well, I didn't spend sleepless night these past few days for me not to find out anything about the mysterious guy."
Jooheon nodded. He knew he could trust Minhyuk on this matter.
"This is really gonna get you intrigued, Jooheon," Minhyuk said excitedly.
Jooheon's eyebrow lifted up in interest, a smirk made its way to his lips. "Enlighten me then."
Minhyuk cleared his throat and leaned forward a bit just to add some dramatic effect.
"Apparently, this guy that has been messing around in your territory is a lone wolf."
"Lone wolf?" well that's a first, Jooheon thought.
Minhyuk nodded, "Yeah, I first thought that he is one of your rival gang's member but then I found information on his previous work and all evidents point to him being a lone wolf."
"And a good one at that," Jooheon added. He hated to admit it but the lone wolf is pretty skilled if he managed to survive in this line of job all by himself. Although Jooheon was mad that the guy had dared to mess with his group but Jooheon couldn't say that he was not impressed with him.
If only the lone wolf would be a part of his gang.
"Not only that, he's basically what you call a perfectionist. The kid didn't leave anything behind and all of his work were cleaned without leaving any traces. Of course, no witnesses either. Their mouth are completely sealed. Pretty amazing, huh? You just need to pay a big sum of money, state your target then bam, consider the job is done," Minhyuk grinned lightly.
Jooheon couldn't help but smile- not a full one with dimples popping but still a trace of smile- it's been so long since he's interested in a person and he didn't even see his face yet, let alone his name.
"How do you even know all this if he's a so-called perfectionist and all information are sealed?" Jooheon asked suspiciously.
"I may or may not use your name to threaten the people from underground to spill the beans."
Of course he did that, Jooheon rolled his eyes.
The underground is a nasty place that even Jooheon, a gang leader or not, won't step his foot in there unless it was absolutely necessary. All sort of dark activities were carried out there and many people never found their way out once they stepped foot in there, or they never intend to. Jooheon does own the underground but the people were not easy to be handled, like monsters who couldn't be tamed. They were never chained to the rules, living by their own beliefs. Jooheon decided that the underground was a very dangerous place. Therefore, Jooheon didn't form a direct engagement between them and his group. To think that Minhyuk went to that place really irked him.
Jooheon looked directly in Minhyuk's eyes, burning right through him emotionally. "Don't you fucking dare bring yourself near that dirty place again."
With that, he stood up and walked out of the kitchen leaving a speechless Minhyuk staring at his back with wide eyes.
Shit.
Shit. I fucked up real bad.
When Minhyuk finished cursing himself repeatedly and praying for Jooheon to not give him silent treatment for the rest of his life, he turned in his seat and caught a glimpse of Jooheon walking up the staircase to his room.
"Wait! Jooheon, no, wait please! The lone wolf, he goes by I.M," Minhyuk shouted desperately. He didn't want Jooheon to miss out this information- whether he was mad at him or not- and it was important to break out the lone wolf's identity.
Minhyuk saw Jooheon stopped at the top of the stairs for a few seconds before he started picking up his pace and Minhyuk was left alone with the echoing sound of Jooheon's shut door.
