Left for Dead Chapter 10

GABE'S POV

Oh God, Z. Not now!

'Today, we will bathe in blood. Today, we will fight! We will rise to glory!' she said.

That last sentence had me hooked.

Tell me more, Z...

'Grab those circular saw blades in that bin over there.'

I walked over to them, and placed them into my toolbelt.

What's next, Z?

'You'll see.'

“Gabe, are you okay?” Brenda asked me.

“I’m fine, and I just had a rough night last night.” I said to her.

I lied.

I walked back into the main room of the factory after all the dirty work.

I went to all the exits and put nails into some railroad ties, and blocking the exits.

I also put some large stacks of wood by each exit, so it made escape impossible.

I walked into the break room, and found some sleeping pills in a cabinet, and got a few out and mashed them on the cabinet with my fist.

I wiped the powder off the counter and into my palm, readying my hand to dump it into the coffee pot. Everyone drank coffee here in the factory, and today, coffee will be killer.

I walked back into the main factory building, and waited for the inevitable to happen.

Seven of my coworkers were now passed out in various places around the factory.

I was placing the final curved blades on the steel pipes that swung back and forth mechanically, hanging over the last of the five tables set up. I had some plans for the other two, and it was going to be worse than the five laying under these steel death traps.

I had tied up Brenda, David, Joe, Marissa, and Seth on the body length tables, and waited for them to wake up, which wouldn’t be long.

They all started to stir, and woke up, in a period of five minutes.
