Evie was in shock after Mal had told her what happened to Dizzy, she was nearly in tears while driving, so much that Mal had to take over while Evie sat in the back with the twins "Mal, are we going to keep Diz? Please"? she begged with tears welling in her eyes again, Mal was worried, Evie was taking the news hard although Dizzy was awake and alert "Of course, we can't just let her end up in some unknown foster home or an orphanage, you practically raised Dizzy while we were on the isle, I believe in us babe" Mal reassured trying to calm Evie's nerves.
1 hour later...
Mal and Evie had arrived at the hospital which was a big blue building that had in big bold golden letters 'Auradon Emergency Room' Mal looked back at Evie who'd fallen asleep an hour ago, she smiled and tapped Evie's knee lightly. The blue haired girl jumped in shock then realized it was only Mal, she rubbed the crust from her eyes and sat up looking at Mal "We're here"? She asked in a raspy voice, Mal nodded unlocking the car doors and getting the twins stroller that their carseats connected to from the trunk, it was a chilly so she put covers over them and Evie came out behind her and smiled slightly taking the stroller "I'll take them" she said and Mal nodded as they walked into the hospital, they went to the desk and asked the woman behind what room Dizzy was in.
With Dizzy...
Mal grabbed the stroller from Evie as she knocked on the room door "Come in" a small voice rasped painfully, Evie choked up as she recognized the voice to be Dizzy, Mal rubbed the small of her back reassuringly as they walked in Dizzy turned her head to see who'd walked in and smiled excitedly "Evie! You guys came" Dizzy said in a slightly raspy voice, Evie smiled walking to her bed, she rubbed her arm and kissed her forehead "I'm so sorry Dizzy, I should've never left you on the isle with them" Evie rapidly said in one breath, Dizzy laughed a bit and smiled at Evie "You had a chance to leave that place, I wasn't given the same chance, but no matter what I'm so glad you escaped" she replied when a cry was heard from beside them, Dizzy looked at Mal confused and her widened as she saw the twins "Are those your daughters"? Dizzy asked Mal and Evie and suddenly got confused "Are they adopted? How did you guys get them"? She looked at the couple with her eyebrows furrowed Mal smiled sadly as she remembered what's happened "We'll tell you later, okay"? Mal replied and a nurse came in shortly and gave Dizzy more morphine. Dizzy had fallen asleep and Mal and Evie went to sign the guardianship papers.
1 week later...
Dizzy was allowed to come home but was now permanently wheelchair bound as they couldn't fix the severe damage done to her spinal cord, she'd moved into the guest room, Mal and Evie painted the room her favorite colors and filled it with things that she loved, as Dizzy sat by her window staring out and drinking hot cocoa while Peanut and Mini Mal laid in the bay window. She couldn't help but smile as she heard the usual call of "DIZZY I'M HOME" from Evie, she silently thanked her family for giving her a chance at a better life even if it was due to abuse, she was just glad to be back with her sister, Mal and Evie were truly the best things that ever happened to her.
