Death Against Love

"What?" Jeongguk yelled over the din of the noisy nightclub. "I can't hear you, Tae!"
"I SAID, DO YOU WANNA DANCE?" Jeongguk finally heard his best friend's shout. He moved closer, pressing his hand to Taehyung's thigh, unknowingly drawing a shocked gasp from his best friend's lips. He knew he normally would never do something like this, but tonight, just for tonight he let the alcohol control his mind, doing things he deemed unforgivable on his off-limits best friend.
"I'm okay, if you want to." Jeongguk squeezed Taehyung's thigh, already tipsy from the strong vodka he taken just now. Taehyung rested his hand on his back, gently supporting him as he stood and walked towards the dance floor.
Unbeknownst to the other dancers and partygoers, WINGS wasn't merely a club. Jeon Jeongguk and Kim Taehyung, professional assassins, and high level members of the assassin community run by the club owner, Jang Dongwoo.
Those innocents didn't even know that the bouncers and even the baristas were hand-trained spies on a dangerous job.
Jeongguk shrugged off the stray thoughts, and placed his hand hesitantly on Taehyung's shoulder. He couldn't really say he was surprised when Taehyung wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled him close. He felt Taehyung's warm breath on his ear, whispering softly:
"Guk, what is it with you today? So pliant, so willing..."
Jeongguk smirked, holding Taehyung tighter. "Maybe I just want to relax..."
"Unlike you, Guk." Taehyung pulled away, not pressing matters further, only pulling Jeongguk gently to sway to the music.
"Um... Sirs?" A waiter appeared at their side, looking breathless, obviously having run all the way here from the VIP lounge. "Master Sungkyu wants you..."
"Sungkyu?" Jeongguk piped up, confused. Their master strategist was usually silent, preferring to directly consult Dongwoo hyung for matters concerning their missions. Taehyung shrugged, and let go of Jeongguk, following the waiter to the VIP lounge. He looked back at Jeongguk, gesturing for him to follow.
Jeongguk didn't know why it hurt when Taehyung let go so easily though.

"Yes, sunbae?" Taehyung nodded respectfully in front of Sungkyu. He knew Sungkyu was the reason WINGS was at the top of its game right now, and knew better than to toy with the organization's mastermind.
"Hello, Taehyung, Jeongguk. Sorry for the inconvenience, Xiumin, you can go rest now." Sungkyu greeted them, and smiled kindly and the out-of-breath waiter. The waiter grinned, bowed and scurried off.
"Well, you two must be surprised at why me, of all people decided to summon you." Sungkyu sighed, motioning to the sofa in front of him. Jeongguk and Taehyung, as members of the higher up community had been in the VIP lounge a few times, but they'd never actually been inside one of the private rooms before. The plush sofa was unbelievably soft, another reminder that the group was filthy rich.
"Well, I have a proposal for you two." Sungkyu leaned forward on his chair, elbows propped on his knees and head rested on his twined hands. "You two are known as the unstoppable duo, no?"
".....Yes?" Jeongguk sounded suspicious.
"Well, you two, as well as the Quadruple, are known as the pillars supporting WINGS. And some significant others, has come to the conclusion that to take down WINGS would be to take down the unstoppable duo."
