Chapter 2

"Hey, Raven, can I come in?" I froze in mid-meditation as I heard Beastboy's voice outside my room. I can't believe I had let my mask slip in front of him! Now I would have to explain everything. Beastboy was no empath, but he could do pretty well when he changed into a dog. "Um, Raven, I've been standing outside your door for ten minutes now... Can I come in?" Beastboy's voice snapped me into reality. "Yeah, one minute." I said, quickly changing back into my pajamas. I always felt odd meditating in anything but my leotard and cloak. "Come in!" I said with sarcastic cheeriness. Beastboy walked in, rolling his eyes. "So, do you wanna tell me what happened, or am I going to have to tell the other titans that you lied?" Beastboy inquired. I sighed, hoping if I told just enough of the truth he would leave me alone. "It was just a nightmare, Beastboy." I said, hoping to convince him. "What was it about?" Beastboy asked. He was slightly irritated now, but I didn't mind, considering he was cute when he was irritated. Wait, did I really just think that? I made a mental note to visit Nevermore after my conversation. "I'm waiting for an answer." Beastboy said impatiently. "I just had a nightmare about when Adonis and you were both beasts." I told him. "Okay... Sorry I interrogated you... Night." Beastboy muttered. "Night!" I called as he left the room. I looked down at my pajama pants, which were almost completely dark gray, minus the pink Hello Kitty on my right hip. My white, fluffy sweatshirt had the pink Hello Kitty in the middle of it. I thought back to the somewhat shocked look on Beastboy's face when he saw I was wearing Hello Kitty. I then pulled out my mirror and felt myself getting sucked into Nevermore. "Hey!" Happy exclaimed, engulfing me into a bone-crushing hug. "Hi." I said in my usual monotone voice. "Where are the others?" I asked. "At their houses. Want me to call them?" Happy asked. I nodded, plugging my ears. The only way to call the others is to yell, and Happy was extremely good at this. Knowledge, Passion, Brave, Rage, Timid, and Lazy appeared. "Hi guys. What's up?" Brave exclaimed. "I HATE IT WHEN YOU YELL!" Rage screamed at her, causing Timid to burst into tears. "Fighting solves nothing. Raven called us here for a reason." Knowledge said. "Yeah, 'cause she's in loooooove!" Passion said. "Tell us!" The emotions chorused. "Yeah, tell us. That's the reason I came here." I said. "Well, Raven is in love with... Beastboy!!!" Passion exclaimed. "Oh! I've felt she was in love with someone! Otherwise the idea wouldn't have spawned!" Knowledge said. "What's the idea?!?" Happy screamed. "I've gotta know!" Happy yelled, and didn't stop until Knowledge shushed her. "Raven had an idea for a dance on the roof, and all titans are invited!" Knowledge blurted. "But Robin's the only one who can make this sort of thing happen, right?" Lazy drawled. "I- I don't k- know... What if they think it's st- stupid?" Timid asked. "Whatever! Just tell 'em! Man up!" Brave yelled. "It sounds like fun!" Happy exclaimed. "DO IT OR I'LL PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE!!!" Rage yelled. "Ooh! What if it was a costume party?" Happy asked. "Yeah! And the costumes would be Disney themed! And the night before the dance, everyone would watch every Disney movie! And then we'd chose costumes for each other!" Brave yelled, joining Happy. "Pantha would pick for Lightning, Lightning would pick for Thunder, Thunder would pick for Jinx, Jinx would pick for Flash, Flash would pick for Wildebeest, Wildebeest would pick for Hotspot, Hotspot would pick for Killowat, Kilowat would pick for Speedy, Speedy would pick for Argent, Argent would pick for Aqualad, Aqualad would pick for Kole, Kole would pick for Bushido, Bushido would pick for Gnarrk, Gnarrk would pick for Redstar, Redstar would pick for Jericho, Jericho would pick for Bumblebee, Bumblebee would pick for Herald, Herald would pick for Robin, Robin would pick for Cyborg, Cyborg would pick for Starfire, Starfire would pick for Melvin, Melvin would pick for Timmy Tantrum, Timmy Tantrum would pick for Bobby, Bobby would pick for Beastboy, Beastboy would pick for Tramm, Tramm would pick for Mos, Mos would pick for Menos, Menos would pick for Raven, and Raven would pick for Pantha." Happy said, now out of breath. I then left Nevermore, and went to sleep, knowing I'd tell Robin about my idea in the morning.
