"Mother? Arella?" I called. "GO BACK CHILD!" An unfamiliar voice yelled. "Where is my mother?" I asked the voice. "You mother now rests in peace child." The voice said. "Mother!" I called. "Go back home, Raven." Arella said. I knew I should've stayed and figured out why my mother was presumed dead and who the mysterious voice was. But instead I left. "Goodbye, mother."'I said softly into the gentle breeze. I recited another spell and found myself on the roof of Titans Tower. How long was I in Azarath? A week? I gulped. One week on Azarath was one year on Earth.

I looked down. It was a long drop, and I would die if I jumped off. But I can't let my emotions loose or everybody might die. It's for the best, I told myself as I prepared to jump off. "Raven." A voice said, stopping me. I knew that voice. It was the voice of a green changeling who I was head over heels for. It was the voice of an elfish eared boy who made me melt. "Beastboy?" I asked, my voice shaking. "What are you doing?" Beastboy asked. "I'm-I'm-" I couldn't finish my sentence. "No." Beastboy murmured softly. "It's for the best." I said. "No, it's not! You're a valuable asset to the team, and we'd all go crazy if you died." Beastboy said, tears filling his emerald eyes. "Beastboy, I-" I started, but I was interrupted. "Didn't you hear me a year ago? I love you." Beastboy said. He leaned in, and I leaned in too. We were inches apart, them millimeters. Then, an electric shock went through my body. Tears streamed down my face. I'd have to leave him forever. I pulled away from the kiss and I jumped off the roof.
