You were having a bad day at school. People were giving you hate like always and you missed Carter. Long distance was hard on you, the only time you saw each other was on holidays and sometimes not even that. You got on the bus and plugged your ear phones in , the bus drove until it reached your house and stopped.
There was something different , another car you didn't recognize was parked in the driveway. You brushed it off and walked inside, you put your bag down and walked into the kitchen to grab some food. Something made you stop in your tracks.
"When do you think she'll be home?" You heard a familiar voice. You walked into the living room to see Carter on the phone.
"Carter!?" You were so confused, but happy at the same time.
He turned around and smiled that amazing smile you fell for. You practically ran into his arms, tears found their way down your cheeks.
"I thought you were at home."
"Nope, your mom contacted me a few days ago saying you have been being down lately so I made time to come and see you." Carter said.
All you could do is hug him. "Thanks Carter."
"Anything for you babe."
