Under the same roof that night, German and Angie are finally alone to have a talk. Mainly about their worries over the girls and to reflect what had happened previously as they finish out the police report.
"I'm just thankful no one got hurt." [German]
"You and I both." [Angie]
"I just can't believe Priscilla would do something like this. Especially risking her own daughter's life." [German]
"I don't think she was expecting for Ludmilla to be there." [Angie]
Both fix their coffees to their personal liking.
"What do you mean? Priscilla knows every now and then you bring the girls home." [German]
"Yes, but that day she didn't know I would be bringing Ludmilla home. My point is I think her intentions were directed at one particular person and not the entire carload." [Angie]
"Then who was she targeting?" [German]
Angie gives German a dumb-founded look. With her eyes alone, she is asking him, "Are you serious?"
"German, it's clear she was after me." [Angie]
"I don't think, what possible motive does she have to get rid of you?" [German]
"Maybe she feels threatened." [Angie]
Takes a sip of her coffee, trying to avoid the subject of her emotions of German. Her late sister's husband and her niece's father. Not to mention German has a talent for not admitting the truth to his emotions himself, let alone to anyone else.
"Picturing Priscilla jealous or threatened by you does not seem right. First I didn't believe Priscilla would be capable of endangering others and over juvenile intuition." [German]
"It's not juvenile if she was trying to protect what belongs to her." [Angie]
He brings his cup back down to the saucer.
"I'm not sure I am following you." [German]
"Ugh.. German, it's clear she believes that something is going on between the two of us. Like I may be stealing her place in the family the two of you started." [Angie]
"What reasons does she have to even think of that?" [German]
"I have no idea, she was not my wife." [Angie]
"I wish she would have talked to me about these things oppose to causing car accidents. For a minute I thought she was the one, different any other woman I thought about marrying or dated." [German]
Angie snickers at German's commentary of his own life. Every woman that he enters into his life is never the right fit. Esmeralda wanted his money and nothing more. Portrayed to be the perfect house-wife and business woman wrapped in one. Before the wedding she hightailed across the country with 40% of his savings.
Now Priscilla. Single mom with wonderful talent and heart, secretly turned out to be an insane basket-case endangering people's lives at any cost.
"What is with the grin?" [German]
"You're kidding, right? German this is no coincidence that the second woman you choose to marry was a failure. You simply just don't know how to fall in love or take on signals." [Angie]
"Things have changed without Maria. You out of everyone should understand that." [German]
"I do, and I can't blame you for trying to continue out your life happy with someone else. But come one German, you can't seriously say that you've fallen in love with Esmeralda and Priscilla." [Angie]
