Chapter 2:

Naomi's POV

I landed in L.A., the sun blinding as I stepped off the plane. Oh gosh, I'm so excited! I don't care if rehearsals don't start for a few weeks, I just want to find out who my partner is. Derek Hough is such a good choreographer, but Tony seems so nice. But, hot damn! Those Chmerkovskiy brothers are good looking! I have always had a celebrity crush on Val, but any of the pros would be great to work with. I got settled in my hotel and decided to take quick nap before I went to see Conrad Green. I set my alarm for 3:00 just in case.

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

My hand came crashing down on my ipod. I would never get used to or like the sound of an alarm right beside my freakin' ear. I quickly got up and fixed my hair and clothes. I puffed out a breath of air as I tried to force my hair into what was at least a decent bun. I sighed, picked up my purse and car keys and headed out the door.

I sat at the cafe where I was supposed to meet Conrad. All alone. I had been sitting here for over half an hour and no sign of any Conrad Green. I had already checked the address about a dozen times to make sure I had gotten it right. Geez, and I was worried that I would be late! I really hope that Conrad wasn't an asshole. He had sounded alright during the phone call, but that was not that long of a conversation. Suddenly the tinkling of a bell was heard from the door of the cafe. I looked up to see a man with thinning brown hair and blue eyes enter the building. He looked around for a second. His gaze fell upon me and he smiled, walking over to my table. "Hello, Naomi Reed, right?"

"Yes, that's me" I curiously looked him up and down. "Are you Conrad Green?"

"Yep the one and only, but please, call me Conrad , I dislike it when the contestants call me Mr. Green. It just makes me feel old" He smiled at me before taking a seat.

I fidgeted a little. Something about this guy made me uncomfortable. Plus I hadn't even said Mr. Green. "Well I won't call you Mr. Green, but I didn't call you that in the first-"

"Yeah, yeah. So let's discuss the process of Dancing With The Stars, shall we?" He interrupted without so much as a glance at me.

I raised my eyebrows, but let it slide. I was way to excited for this chance and didn't want to screw it up. "Well, we have some paperwork for you to fill out, you can sign your name here and here"

So we went on, me trying to look over everything to make sure I really agreed with it and he trying to rush things along. Finally I signed the last piece of paper. By this time my hot chocolate had gone cold and my hand was cramping. Conrad put the pile of papers in a folder and stood up.

"It was a pleasure meeting you" He said through gritted teeth. I smirked, I knew he was annoyed by the fact that I had taken such a long time signing the papers. I just wanted to make sure I was alright with everything, but if I was being completely honest I had slightly paused a few too many times.

"In exactly a week, you will come to the studio and begin rehearsals." Conrad stated. "Oh, I almost forgot to mention that, while it might not be against the rules, we don't exactly, how do I put it, appreciate when pros and their partners become romantic"

"I don't think that will happen, I'm just here to learn something new and maybe make some new friends along the way" I assured him.

Conrad Green forced a smile and turned to walk out.

Suddenly I remembered what I had been asking myself ever since I got the call. "Wait, Conrad! Who is my partner going to be?"

He turned and lifted his mouth into a smirk, "Now, what would be the fun in telling you that?" "I thought you liked surprises." Then he turned and walked out of the door.

Should I continue? If you have any ideas or thoughts please comment! I would really appreciate it! By the way I have no idea if Conrad Green is actually a jerk, it's just part of the story, so sorry if I offended anybody. Please comment or vote!
