A while later a nurse comes to Noah, asking him for information and things about Michelle, After the questions, Noah asks, "will Michelle be ok"
"its too soon to tell but I'm sure she will be fine"
After, the nurse leaves, Noah is left alone yet again, leaving him to his own thoughts, his phone soon blares off, a picture of his mother on the screen, "Noah! where in the world are you? I come home to an empty house and no sign of where you have gone to"
"Oh hi mum, no there was an accident, my friend Michelle is in the hospital right now, I'm in the waiting room"
"what!? what happened?"
"oh I don't know yet but I think Michelle was shot, I'll be home soon, love ya, bai"
As Noah puts back his phone, the two doors flip open revealing a doctor and a nurse, they explain the situation is all right and that Michelle will do just fine and is recovering from a bullet wound in her left leg and due to the poison in the bullet and that it had done some serious damage, we had to do surgery on her leg, and had to amputate her left leg and have a prosthetic one in place but she will be out of the hospital by the following week. Relived but still worried, Noah decides to leave for home when suddenly, he remembers that Michelle won't be able to make it to the SHSAT test tomorrow. Just then Michelle's parents bursts into the room, worried and crying they demanded news, I just left their problems to the doctor and after greeting them, he left, leaving the doctor explaining the specifics to Michelle's parents. That night was a blur, after realizing that if Michelle doesn't get into the same school as him, it might just be the last school year together with her.
The next day, Michelle wakes up in a white gown, in a hospital bed, machines whirr and buzz around her as the sunlight streams through the window, picturesque images of the autumn day outside. As she tried to get up from her bed, she felt a sharp pain in her leg and laid down again. She had felt, different, she dared to look under the covers, and to her horror, her left leg was gone, she couldn't remember much after yesterday and tears started too swell up as she realized the situation she was in, her leg was gone and today was the day of the test. Just then a nurse came into the room, bringing water and breakfast, and trying to comfort her, but her attempts were useless and had left Michelle to her tears.
When Michelle woke up again, she found herself in the same room but with Noah sitting in the chair besides her, reading a novel, she faced Noah, his perfect deep brown eyes shone in the sunlight, his lean, tanned figure crouching over the novel, "hey" she said
"finally your awake Michelle, I was worried about you"
tears swelled up in her eyes as she said, "you were there for me Noah, thank you"
"oh it was nothing really, I was just worried about you" Noah tensed up, avoiding the topic of the SHSAT test
"its ok Noah, I know I missed the test right? I guess I'll just take the next round, next year in ninth grade.
"but Michelle, I'll miss you"
"no its going to be ok and I'll miss you too"
"No, its not like that, Michelle...I love you", Noah confessed
