What if I say its name out loud,
And it flickers away, disappearing into unhearing ears.
A silently roaring fire-light in the mind,
Kept quiet by the hearts painful contraction,
Afraid to let go of its childhood memories.
Once its wide open, trusting eyes,
Are spoken aloud,
they diminish into an unseen burning, seeming the blood,
While other people pretend to hear the screams.
Ignorant to the dark red tint on my chest.
Disintegrate to particles of ash as the black stream of thoughts inconspicuously leaks from my gaped open,
Yelling, pleading,
Oh so silent mouth.
Fading into the shadows behind,
Found me when my eyes crack,
Contract from the sunlight and turn away.
They close as well, no doubt,
Its better left unseen.
Secrets aren't secrets once they're told.
