Chapter One

Kayla woke up to her sister screaming at her mom about something that Kayla wasn't really paying attention to. She got up and walked to the bathroom and did her business and brushed her teeth. She didn't have time to shower so she decided just to get her clothes ready and take a shower tonight.

She walked in her room and picked out her clothes. It took her forever just to find the right outfit to "fit in" at school. She ended up picking black skinny jeans, a pink blouse, and black and gold sparkly moccasins. She headed downstairs not even acknowledging Garth, Charming, or her mom. She ran out the door and walked to school.

When she got to school she was flooded with insults. The usual ones like "ugly outfit" or "ew, it lives.." or "ugh she's still alive?" but today she got the meanest insult that she has ever received. Even Garth hadn't pushed it this far. A boy with sandy hair and grey eyes came up to Kayla and spoke words that only the Devil itself would say.

"Wow, I thought you killed yourself with Axl, guess I was wrong..."

Axl

Hushed whispers were everywhere and Kayla's mouth was wide open with shock. Tears welled up in her eyes and spilled over onto her cheeks. Out of amazement and shock, Kayla slapped the boy with sandy hair right square in the face and ran to the Janitor's closet...

I am sure you are probably thinking "Who is Axl?" Let me tell you....

Well its hard to explain this but I will try. Axl is Kayla's boyfriend... or was her boyfriend... Axl was literally her only support. He also was a self harmer and they had so much in common it wasn't even funny. They would get bullied together at school but never cared because they loved each other too much. Even Kayla's family liked Axl, even Garth. Those were the semi-happy moments in her life.

Now they are all memories because Axl isn't with us. I remember the day quite well actually... Axl was getting severely bullied for a while. More than usual.... They were calling him nasty names and telling him he was worthless and saying things like Kayla doesn't even love him when she clearly did! That night he didn't come home. He went to his favorite spot in the woods. Him and Kayla had built a pretty impressive tree house in one of the highest trees. He climbed up the long rope ladder and crawled in the doorway. He quickly pulled out a piece of paper and pen from the homemade drawer. He wrote his suicide note to anyone who found him but obviously it was directed to Kayla. He then got some rope from the corner and hung himself from one of the branches by the tree house.

Later that night Kayla was wondering where he was and instantly ran to the tree house. She saw is body from the ground and ran up the rope ladder as fast as she could with tears streaming down her face. She got to the top and witnessed the body all cold and dead. She saw the letter and pulled it out. It read:

Dear,

Whoever it may concern

I am sorry. I cant take it anymore. I am sick of being told that I am worthless and that my girlfriend doesn't even love me. I wish I could stop myself but I can't! I am DONE!!!!

I still love you,

Axl

At this point Kayla was going crazy in the tree house. Since then everybody at her school found out what happened and its been a joke. The only thing is that no one has ever dared to say anything about it in front of Kayla. Now she's crying in the janitor's closet with pain and fear built inside of her.....
