Sirena's POV

I feel dizzy. The world around me is spinning and shaking, making me feel queasy. I feel as if I am drowning. Around me is a whirlpool of water, sucking me into its dark depths with each loop I make. I try to swim away, but with no experience in swimming. I fail and fall into the depths of the ocean, gasping my final breath.

I gasp for air, awake, alert. I look at my surroundings, trying to make out where I am. I look around, I'm in a cabin, a familiar cabin. I just can't remember why I'm here or how I got here. Great. I look at the two people sitting on the bed across mine. One's a stunning girl with a tear-stained face and clothing. She looks at me with sparkling eyes and smiles wistfully. The other person is a woman with choppy cut rainbow hair. She's wearing green army boots, camo leggings, and an army t-shirt. Then suddenly, I began to remember it all.

The girl with the tear-stained face and clothing is my best friend, Phoenix. Somehow still looking like a goddess after crying. She looks so wistfully joyful to see me again, which makes me smile. Ray, the girl with rainbow hair, is sitting next to her. She looks happy to see me again, and I am glad to see her.

"Yo-you-your-you're awake" Phoenix stutters, smiling broad and regal.

"Yes, I am," I say and rub my forehead, "I just can't seem to remember what happened, all I remember is finding Phoenix dancing gracefully in the woods, comforting her, then passing out,"

Phoenix and Ray look at each other, then back at me. They seem to be deciding what parts of the story they are going to leave out, and which parts they are just going to "forget" to tell me. I sigh and Phoenix looks at me, grinning from ear to ear.

"I saved your life after I woke up in the woods, I was the one to call Ray, who got the nurse on staff to come help," She trills, "You had an infected wound which left you comatose, it's in your right foot, just under your ankle, there was a bunch of thorns in your foot, which is why you got infected,"

"How long have I been out?" I ask.

"Three days," She says.

"And Phoenix was by your side the entire time, she wouldn't rest until she knew you where okay," Ray says, smirking at Phoenix, "She really cares about you, Sirena,"

Phoenix blushes and I giggle. We stare at each other for a bit, taking in every piece of each other we can. She's as calm as when my brother would get back his tests, finding out he got an A++, so he knew he wouldn't get beaten. She looked as calm and tranquil as when I had a day off at home, and I could relax. I couldn't help but grin. I was awake again, no longer tortured with infernal nightmares and dreams.

Ray gets up from her seat on Phoenix's bed, "I'll go get you two some lunch, you must be starving!"

She strides towards the door, quickly. Suddenly, Phoenix is out of her bed and hugging me. She is crying on my shoulder as I caress her back lovingly. She hugs me tightly against her as if I would disappear into mist and gossamer if she didn't. She shakes and quivers as she cries against me. I smile into her shoulder while hugging her back.

"I thought you were going to die," She cries.

"It's alright, I'm here now," I whisper to her, as she clings to me.

Luke's POV

I awake in a bed unlike any I have ever been in. It's amazingly soft, yet I'm strapped down to the surface of it. A blanket covers the straps keeping me tied to the bed. The room is unusually white. My head feels as if it weighs a thousand pounds. Standing over me is three people, two I recognize, one I do not.
