"Can all passengers on flight number 64 to Washington D.C please board now."

"Come on Jessica, that's our flight."

At this point in time I'm staring into space; dumb struck, in the middle of Newcastle airport Washington seriously you've got to be kidding me. They told me there was going to be a paddock and stables near the pack house and miles and miles of grass lands as well as woodlands, but Washington from what I have seen on the TV has none of that, what the hell? Indy is on the next cargo flight in half an hour where the hell is she gonna stay? I'm not putting her in some stables miles from the pack house, no way. It's Washington for crying out loud I'm never gonna fit in.

"Jessica don't worry it's in Washington state not Washington D.C, it'll be fine you'll see, now come on before we miss the flight." Mum placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder and guided me through the airport.

We had boarded the plane and the hostesses were going through the safety precautions.

"In case of an emergence the air masks are in the compartments above and will drop down if needed, there is a lifejacket under your seats, simply put it over your head like so, to inflate the lifejacket pull these to cords, if the lifejacket does not feel properly inflated the mouth piece can be used; simply blow into the tube and the lifejacket should inflate fully. We ask that all adults with young children put their own lifejacket on first then see to their children the in-flight staff will be here to help if necessary. The emergence exits are to your left and right at the front of the plane, your left and right in the mid section of the plane, if any passengers feel uncomfortable sitting next to these exits we can rearrange the seating with other passengers that have no problem sitting next to the exits, there are to other exits at the back of the plane to your left and right. We ask that all electronical devises be switched off until the seatbelt light has been switched off, and that all passengers please wear the seatbelts until the light goes out. Thank you for flying with Tomas Cook airways we hope you enjoy the flight we will reach our destination in approximately six and a half hours, landing at 07:35am American time."

Well that's just peachy, did I ever tell you that I've never been on a plane before and I'm now scared out of my mind, well now I have.

6 and a half hours later.

Well I had survived the take off and we had been served our in-flight meal which may a say tasted like a cheap microwave meal so for any of you who haven't had a cheap microwave meal don't they taste like cardboard gone soggy, and don't ask me how I know what soggy cardboard tastes like it's a long story and it happened on my sixth birthday so no biggy. We had now touched down in Washington D.C "hello America". We were now allowed to leave the plane. We got off and went through customs and went to get our baggage, once we had gathered all our baggage we headed towards to exit.

"Jessica honey are you waiting here for Indy an her things or are you coming with us, if you want me or your farther can wait with you or you can let the pack member that's coming with the truck collect her."

"I'd rather wait for her myself mum you know how she gets with new people, and I want to make sure all her stuff gets through. I don't mind waiting on my own, so you guys go ahead I'll catch up to you later, ok."

"Ok if your sure honey, see you later bye."

"Bye."

They had probably only been gone a few minutes when a guy around 17 came up to me and said...

"Hey, excuse me but are you Jessica, Jessica Stainton?"

"Yes, and you are?"

"Scott Matthews, I'm here to pick up you and your horse,"

"Well Scott you're in for a bit of a wait she doesn't get in until eight."

"That's ok I don't mind waiting. So what's your horse called?"

Scott asked as we walked round to the animal side of the airport. Scott seemed really nice, he was easy to talk to and even though he looked older than me he didn't make me feel it.

"Indy."

"Cool name, so I'm guessing that you ride her in the English saddle then,"

"No both actually, western is good for treks where as the English on is good for competitions like jumping and things. So I guess you ride."

"Used to my horse Blacky died a couple of years ago, I'm saving up to by another one, it just tuck me a while to get over it, I'd had him since he was just a foal his mom was my dad's horse so it was painful to know that he was gone, you know."

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to open old wounds." It was surprising to hear a guy talk about his feelings like this, I was quiet shocked.

"Its ok it was a long time ago know. I'm sorry your gonna get a lot of this I know but your accent is just awesome."

Blushed at that, then it turn into a nervous laugh.

"Thanks I think."

We talked like that until Indy's flight got in. she was a bit stressed after being on the plane so I told Scott to stay back while I got her into the horse box. While I was putting her in the horse box and trying to calm her down I hadn't noticed that Scott was putting all her things into the back of the pickup.

"She ok?"

"Yeah she's fine or at least she will be once we get there, I'll just put her things in the back."

"No its fine I sorted it."

"Thanks." I said while blushing again, seriously what is wrong with me that's the second time in less than an hour. I sure hope that all American boys don't have this affect on me.

On the way to the pack house we talk just as easily as we did while we were waiting for Indy, and the four hour drive just seemed to fly by. In no time we passed the border into wolf territory, that was named Mount Wolf how original and completely obvious, well I guess that was the point no hunter would think that this was a town full of werewolves with a name like that it was too obvious. On the way here Scott had told me a lot about the pack and school that was werewolves only as the town didn't really exist, only the rare passers through knew about Mount Wolf known for its high numbers of 'wild wolves' and when they tried to find it on a map they couldn't as Mount Wolf wasn't on any maps. How mum and dad found this place is beyond me, coz I'm guessing that is this pack wanted to disappear it could without a trace. Another interesting thing about Mount Wolf was that students could ride horse back and even run to school if they wanted too, Scott told me that a number of students own horses and enjoyed that way of travelling, the even had equestrian lesson for the students that did as well as lockers to put tack in and a paddock for the horses and stables, this school was literally my dream or so I thought.
